Forgot to mention
Once developed and back in the Photo persona the Transform panel will allow you to use 0.1° increments in the Rotation field by using CTRL plus the arrow keys
(Windows)
Hey, that's great, didn't think about that option, thank you @carl123. In Mac, I choose the "move" tool (V key), go to the Rotation field in the panel and clic up/down arrow to increment/decrease in 1º changes, or clic up/down arrow + option to do 0.1º changes. Curiously, even though I can make 0.1º changes, they are only visible once you reach 1.0º, 2.0º, 3.0º... or hit enter. The 0.1º changes don't show in preview. No big deal. Thanks again.

Thank you @carl123
Yes, I will try it, although the default photoshop option seems faster and let's say logical to me: just remove what's left over. No need to check the four corners of each photo afterwards to check the inpaint job.

Thanks for the links, @loukash. Yes, first of all I had a look at Affinity Photo help, and what I found there was exactly the information they give also in this video about image straightening I found in the listing you shared, that is: there is no "point by point" straightening option, nor possibility to do automatic crop leaving out the "alpha zones": you have to do it by hand. That's why I asked here, maybe anyone knew something else... also for the possibility to let AP creators read, if they usually read this forum, that such an option would be very much appreciated. Hi!
I'm trying Affinity Photo v2 with the intention of leaving Photoshop after 20 years using it for Illustration and Photography (very good but too expensive in my case). Tried before with ADesigner v1 but didn't fit my needs.
There is a tool I use a lot in Photoshop: the one to straighten photos: to rotate the image so that the ground is parallel to the horizon. In Photoshop (Camera RAW) I can fine-tune, moving with the cursor the percentage of rotation point by point: 0.1%, 0.2%, very precisely.
Also, when I confirm the rotation, either Camera RAW or Photoshop itself automatically crops the photo so that there are no strange white spaces in the corners after the rotation. I have had a look but I have not found any of these two options in APhoto... do you know if it is possible to do it?
Thank you very much for your help and greetings from Spain!

Oh. I like the big size of that panel, I invoke it with a shortcut, choose the color and close it in a couple of seconds. Too big to have it always open on my screen. I'll make do with the color panel then... Thank you for your help and advice!

Hi!
First post :)
I'm trying to migrate from PS to Affinity Designer (illustration pourposes, pixel, no vector), starting to learn, it looks good! I am configuring the keyboard shortcuts as I had them in PS. I've been searching for a while, but I'm not able to assign a shortcut to bring up the color picker window (screenshot attached). Do you know if it's possible? In PS i just push a key, choose a color, close the color window: quick... Thank you very much!

Auto crop empty spaces in corners after straighten + fine tune rotation?

I'm trying and will keep trying. I'm illustrator + photographer so it is a myriad of small, quick gestures of what I've been used to for many years... I'm so spoiled... we'll see! Thanks and cheers, loukash
