Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Yes, select the adjustment layer then go to menu Layer ▸ Invert or press ⌘ (cmd) + I to invert the adjustment built-in mask. With the mask inverted you can then paint with white using the Paint Brush Tool to "brush in" the adjustment.
