    AFAIK, it doesn't ... but if you open the document in APub & turn that option on & then switch to AD or save the file & then open it in AD, the special characters show ... & you cannot turn that off in AD.

    Text editing in Designer has its limitations. If you open the file in Publisher, even temporarily, you can choose to display the line breaks (and other special characters), which can make resolving issues like this a lot simpler:

    As far as I'm aware that option doesn't exist in Designer.

    Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.
    On Windows, putting the text cursor directly in front of the line break and pressing Delete, or immediately after and pressing Backspace, should work.

    Can you provide a PDF that causes the problem, or (better) the resulting .afdesign file?

    Thanks for the file.
    There are no line breaks. However, there is a right-indent of 149.2 pts, which you can see in the Paragraph panel, and that is causing the lines to break as they do. Set it to 0 and you should get what you want.
