I'm hoping these images help illustrate the issue. [EDIT - the images posted in the order opposite of what i wanted, so start at the bottom, then "read" them going up.] So yes, I am using the move tool to move the text frame. As you may be able to see from the images below. I move the frame but the text remains in the same spot, until I move the frame too far and the text "disappears". Now, if I continue to move the frame down, the text will eventually reappear (first image), but well below where I need it to be.
As for where I'm clicking (in response to R-C-R), I'm just clicking inside the frame, then moving it. Clicking the handles would simply resize the frame, right? Which isn't what I want at all.

I'm willing to bet there's a term for what I described in the subject line, but I keep running into an issue where I have a paragraph written in a text frame, but when I try to adjust the position of the frame on a given page, the text will "shift" in the frame, usually making the bottom line of text "disappear" and giving me the red eye "text outside of frame" indicator. It seems like I should be able to move my text frames freely without the text inside of the frame being affected at all, but it continues to be a consistent issue. Any help?

Not connected to the graphic, but I did uncheck the "align to baseline grid" box, which did the trick. Thanks for the assistance.
