  1. I think the issue is with Dropbox. Keeping everything in the same Dropbox folder, I created a jpeg and after making changes and saving, it didn’t update similar to the designer file. As soon as i put the files on my desktop and replaced the link with the new files on the desktop they both updated instantly without me having to force an update. Same publisher file, same ‘placed’ files(except for their location.) i hope this is something that can be addressed at some point, as i have all of my files on Dropbox and save them locally with ‘make available offline’. It’s the way i have worked for quite sometime now and have never had an issue with links in InDesign. I was planning on switching the office to this over adobe but will now need to see if this is an issue specific to Dropbox or something that will be an issue on a network setup as well. On a side note, I was having issues with links being lost on the iPad app, but i use Dropbox there too. I am assuming there is something about how Dropbox works that is causing this now.
  2. I am having issues with Linked files in Publisher. It is my understanding that if I have the 'automatically update linked resources when modified externally' checked, the files should be updated in the file. Currently I have to close the publisher file and reopen it to see the changes that have been made externally. in the attached Image you will see what my settings are and you can see in the background a Designer file I have saved, and the Publisher file it's placed where the update hasn't occurred (made in Los Angeles text) I am not sure if the correct behavior is to have the file update automatically, without forcing a refresh, but even my 'Update' button is greyed out. Meaning, I can't even force the update and have to close the file down and reopen. I have given all of affinity suite full access to my disk under 'privacy and security' as I read somewhere that if this was not done it wouldn't update. Am I missing something obvious or is something off.
  3. I have the same issue. I wrote earlier that I can't place a picture from "Files" and have to do it from 'Photos' (that issue has been reported). I guess what is happening to me with the images all being replaced by the same image is that when imported from 'Photos' all of the pictures end up with the same name. The generic name the pictures get by default is 'Photo.jpeg'. in the attached Pic you can see that both pics have the same name and I don't get an option to make them unique. if I close the file and reopen it will say it need to 'locate' the image at which point they all change to the same thing. I figure when they fix the issue with placing images from 'Files' half of this issue will go away, as it will register the unique name and path. The other half they will have to do is give images brought in from 'Photos' a unique name. similar to what apple does when you drag them from 'Photos' into a folder. hopefully the naming convention is better than Apples version, though. "RemoteMediaFile_6553807_0_2021_10_15_11_03_10.jpg" seems like it would be a pain to see in the resource manager
  4. yes. I am having the same issue. I can replace pictures when I place them from 'Photos' but if I try from 'Files' it will crash every time.
  5. I know people are having issues with the hover but i haven’t seen these specific ones yet, so i will list them here (i will update as i find more): -you can’t close a selection when you use the freehand selection tool as a ‘polygon’. When you click on the starting point it won’t close. (freehand works as expected) -you can’t use the flood fill tool as clicking does not seem to work. If you turn off ‘show effects when using pencil’ things go back to normal. To be expected as this hover function is brand new.
