  1. Wow, what a brain fart! Thanks for that @v_kyr Shows you what happens when you take time off.
  2. No worries. Thank you though, hopefully someone else can shed some light on what's going on.
  3. I was just updating my post, but here's a screenshot of their online help guide for Affinity 1.9/1.10.
  4. Because unless something's changed that I'm not aware of, Ctrl is the modifier, it toggles the behaviour of the drag to select an object function.
  5. Hi Just want to confirm whether what I'm experiencing is normal. In all three apps, I have "Select object when intersects with selection marquee" enabled. If I use the Ctrl key modifier when dragging to select an object, I get a context menu popup, as you would with a right click. I cannot modify the selection behaviour to select by dragging around the entire object before selecting. Obviously if I deselect "Select object when intersects with selection marquee" in preferences, then you have to surround an object before it's selected, but either way, Ctrl doesn't work as a modifier. Am I missing something? I've looked in the app's keyboard shortcuts but can't see anything obvious in there.
  6. It's beyond me it really is sometimes, the way the most basic necessary features like this get overlooked. I mean who was paid to overlook a word count function in an app in which the primary use is working with text for publication 🤯
  7. Hi @Callum, thanks for your response. I've since had to set up all three apps from scratch but when trying to resolve the issue, all files went into the hidden ~Library/Application Support/Affinity*/Presets path as shown in the attached image. Obviously the Designer, Photo and Publisher files went to their relevant Preset folders, Personas.dat and Preferences.dat files went to the ~Library/Application Support/Affinity* folder. I tested to see if the location was correct by saving a new preset from within one of the apps and the corresponding folder was populated with the new preset. When copying saved presets to the same location nothing is recognised by any of the apps. The only other thing I can think of is that the saved presets I have are from version 1.10.1 and I am now running 1.10.4. I'm actually not sure if the apps were on 1.10.1 or 1.10.4 when trying to get them to recognise my saved presets as I've only recently updated to 1.10.4.
  8. If anyone more knowledgeable than me could clarify something I'd be very grateful. If I quick mask a section of an image in Photo and apply frequency separation to just the masked area, the result is that the rest of the unmasked image become darker due to the high frequency layer's blend mode being set to Linear Light. How do I apply frequency separation to part of an image without affecting the rest of the image?
  9. Thanks walt.farrell, yes I was careful to make sure that they went into the location determined by the Affinity store version. Very strange.
  10. Hi I have all the personas.dat, preferences.dat and the studio.preset files from my three Affinity apps' last installation before performing a clean install of Mojave. I was running Mojave before the clean install. I've reinstalled the 3 Affinity apps and returned all the .dat and .preset files from my previous installation to the relevant ~Library/Application Support/Affinity * folder but the Apps no longer recognise any of these files. They open to the default UI rather than to the way I had everything set up before - like Studio Panel layout, tool layout etc. I've successfully done this before a couple of years ago and the apps recognised the user preferences files, but no dice this time. Anyone have an idea as to how to get the 3 apps to recognise the preference files as setting everything up across 3 apps is a pain in the *. Thanks in advance.
  11. Thank you for your email @Leigh. I completely understand and don't expect technical support to have an answer for every single customer query but to be ignored for several weeks when in the middle of an email conversation with one of your colleagues is very poor customer service to say the least. All I was after from the person I was initially communicating with was an answer such as the one you've provided, explaining your process for dealing with bugs with your developers. Maybe this lack of customer service needs to be addressed with the person concerned in my emails. All the best.
  12. After several weeks of trying to get some email support from Affinity (and being blatantly ignored after the first email) you guys have left me no choice but to post here. As I've said in other places, your software is fantastic considering it's in its infancy but the three apps are not without some serious bugs, some of which hinder peoples' workflows to the point that it's difficult to use them for the professional use which they're intended. No, your apps don't cost a lot of money when compared to some rival software but it's really difficult to endure the bugs when many of the fundamental ones have been around for years and have obviously never been addressed despite several updates passing and many many people bringing them to your attention. I fail to see how as a company you think it's ok to advertise your software as 'professional' when there are such basic bugs in some of the apps. When professional people then give you their hard-earned money and the apps aren't up to scratch, you simply turn a blind eye to the after-sales support. Do you not think it reasonable that your customers should be able to try to resolve issues with your software? Isn't that what customer service is about? Going by some of the other threads on here from several years ago this lack of after-sales support is nothing new. Just pathetic really.
  13. Thanks but this isn't it from what I can see. The TOC panel doesn't allow me to edit individual spread info.
