  1.  @Alfred thanks for your kind reply. In fact, I just want a portion of the initial image, like 20% of it, but still, as the image is pretty big I have to resize it to fit the 300x300 px document. Actually, I got a decent quality in Affinity designer, but when exporting the image, quality really dropped. So to put my question differently, how can I keep at least a similar quality to the editor when exporting my image (PNG extension)?

  2. Hi everyone,

In affinity designer/photo I have an image that is 1800x2700 px. I created a new document in affinity that has a 300x300 px size and copied this image. Then after resizing the image to fit the document, I saw a quality loss, especially when zooming in the image. I always assumed that small images lose in quality when being enlarged, but here I'm experiencing the opposite. How can I achieve the same result without losing quality?

    Regards,

  3. Hi,

I'm relatively new to affinity publisher. I'm making changing the vertical alignment of a cell in a master page from center to top. However, I don't see those changes reflected on my existing pages with this master applied. Needless to say that if I applied again the master to these mages with the clear option I get the right vertical alignment but I lose the text I already filled on this page. Is there some option I must activate to update the changes on pages when the master have been modified or I'm I missing something here?

    Regards,

  4. Hi,

When opening a PDF file with Adobe Reader, I can see in the document property panel that its dimensions are 317,4 mm x 234,9 mm. However, when opening the file with affinity designer (right-click on the file, then open with affinity designer), I can see in the document setup that its dimensions are now 311,09 x 228,6 mm. Is there a way I can open a PDF file while keeping the original dimensions? (It's a template, so dimensions are important)

    Regards,

  5. Thank you @R C-R for your answer. I'm new to Affinity Designer, so whenever I had to draw something I created a new layer. But after reading your comment, I just realized that affinity designer already creates automatically a layer every time I draw something. In my previous experiences with other softwares like GIMP for example, If I didn't create a new layer, I would draw on the selected layer. Now I see the Affinity works differently.

Sorry @Old Bruce, it's nothing as sophisticated, just a newbie question 😅

  6. Hi guys,

I'm looking for a simple functionality in affinity designer but couldn't find it. I want to add a new layer under the one I'm selecting. When I add a new layer, it's automatically placed on the top of the layer list, which is not very convenient when you have hundreds of layers and sublayers. I hope there is a way to quickly add a new layer exactly where I want it to be created instead of cutting/pasting the newly created layer which is time-consuming.

    Regards,
