  1. Hi! I created uniwersal template for instruction in affinity publisher with database in excel and paths to files. Every source (for example below black rectangle) I save in CMYK (0,0,0,100) but when I generated file from my template and checked colours with picker tools I see that is problem because always is CMYK(69,66,67,77) I introduce CMYK(0,0,0,100) but I can't change it. I change colour but it comes back to previous setting. What is the problem. Does exist default setting for colours?
  2. Problem was very prosaic. I use to view and print pdf Foxit Reader and it makes poor quality during print. I commissioned print the sam file but by Adobe and printout is good. But I have also other quality issue with qrq. Currently I open pdf from etiLABEL in corel and quick trace then I generate pdf. Pdf from corel after quick trace I open in Affinity. I make in this way because all object in file must be in CMYK (000,100) and quality is beter then when I open direct in Affinity. Can you recommend other good way to achieve high quality for qrq and barcode?
  3. Hi I opened pdf with old instructions in Affinity publisher and save to file afpub. Next step was embed files in template with function "picture frame rectangle tool" and downloaded files from excel. I created frame rectangle the same size what in sources files then I export file to pdf. I printed this pdf but I have problem with quality because lines and other sign are not smooth. In pdf I don't see any difference when maximaling zoom. I compared the same view (prints) from source and from template (function data merge) below photos. 1)Printout from source file. 2) Printout from template consists the sources downloaded from the database (function data merge). 1)Printout from source file. 2) Printout from template consists the sources downloaded from the database (function data merge). I don't know what the problem is. Printout from template looks like bit map. Is there any way to increase quality? Maybe I have wrong setting during export to pdf? I would be interested to hear your views on this issue.
  4. Hi, I got to know function data merge in affinity publisher. I am going to use this function to create different instructions. Current proces: I recive 3d models in Solidworks from designers and I create 2d drawings in dxf format. In next step I open dxf in corel and prepare final instruction. It was old way, but when we have to create the same instructions only with different logo it generate long time. So we would like introduce affinity publisher and base on template and data merge menager. I created uniwersal template for instruction in affinity publisher with database in excel and paths to files. We would like to limit this proces to generating only file from corel draw add path file. But when I download files to my template for example in pdf, they lose quality. My way to bypass poor quality is open pdf in affinity publisher and create afpub format but it is additional step and changes thickness line. Perhaps you know other way to limit steps and improve above process. What type file should I download to my template from database without lost quality? Ofcourse I know that resolution source file must be the same what picture frame in affinity publisher.
  5. Thx everyone for answer. Your understanding is very close but I would like achieve this without open every separate document. Of course I know that at the beginning I have to prepare directorys with instructions in file.afpub and linked graphisc it is obvious. Finally I generate 30 pcs. different instructions in pdf format. Logo A is in the first page in every documents. In the future logo A will be change by logo B and I would like replace source grahpics(product-graphic.png) in directory and recieve changed logo in every pdf without open source files in afpub format. I don't know that possible? If I have to open every file to update mayby there is a way to generate few separate pdf during one export (from open tab in Affinity). It will be also time saving.
  6. Hi, In my company I am responsible for creation assembly instruction for new products. I would like ask if Affinity makes it possible link graphics? I explain what I mean. Actually we have 30 different instruction with logotype "A" on the first page. For nex new produkts we will need the same instructions but with logo B(logo A will replace by B) in the same location. Is there a way to change this in one file and automaticly creat others 29 pcs? I don't want to open separate every file and create new instruction in pdf. We would like speed up the process of creation new instruction. Please let me know that is it possible or maby exist other program with this possibility. Best regards
