Okay, that seemed to work. Why does show samples cause the problem?

I was working on a layout document in the Windows version of Affinity Publisher. I discovered that I could add a shortcut key to a style element. 

I added it as an Alt-B and for a single page it worked. When I went to the next page of layout the document froze. 

Now whenever I open the document it freezes quickly after launch. It only does this in the layout where I set the shortcut key.

Since it freezes when I open the document, I can't seem to get at that style element to delete the shortcut key. 

Is there a workaround so that I don't have to start this layout program all over again?
