I do quite abit of travel and found now that when I am away, I sometimes want to play around in AD. For you experienced users, as I am a new user and barely can draw haha, what laptop/tablet or what would you buy, if you weren't home and wanted to work on designs? I would like a larger screen, so I don't need to zoom in all the time and think a stylus or pen would be helpful in certain situations. I just need a push in the right direction of what I should be looking at. so I can research and start visualizing. Appreciate the help! Thanks! Las

Actually, I found the site. Could someone people recommend what packs most people use from Frankentoon?

Wanted to spend money and add more brush packs to the designer. One in particular I want is Frankentoon. Where do I find his brushes to purchase and others? I did see on the Affinity site they have some things I would like. But where else do you go to find more? zac

Is there a way to make the transparent checker larger? so I can fit in fonts at the top and bottom.

So I took a picture and used the Ellipse tool to create it as a sphere shape image, but I cant get rid of the checkered background, which was part of the original picture. I want to remove that so I can add text around the outside of the picture at the top and bottom. Any suggestions?

Basically I'm new to Affinity. I have messed around with PS but only to edit photos. simple stuff really. Tone, contrast, sizing, etc. nothing major. I have no artistic skill. None! But I have vision and ideas. Don't want to keep paying artists to create stuff for me as its costing to much and the look is never completely how I envision things. Could you guys give me some pointers on how to start creating without artistic skill? haha Maybe some links to sites with quality tutorials on how to do things in Affinity. I am a visual learner. reading does nothing for me. I need to see how a person does it and what they click to create it. Even a simple design like a landscape from start to finish. For now I am just tossing a picture in the software and clicking on things to see how they work. It would be helpful if I could find something that strings along some lessons that gets me started at actually creating something. Any help is most appreciated!! Laz

Thanks Walt! Yes, I got a response back from email telling me to sign in with my laptop and can download from there. Not sure why I didn't think of that. hehe
