  1. Hi Callum, the bug manifested exactly the same way for me on both apps, so, as recommended, I won’t duplicate the bug report. Thank you for your answer and your help.
  2. A possible error happens with layer ordering, when dragging and dropping a layer into the uppermost poisition inside a group, if this layer was positioned above this group. Steps to reproduce the issue: 1st create a new document 2nd create any layer and group it 3rd create any layer above of this group 4th expand the group 5th drag and drop this newly created layer inside the group in its uppermost slot: the dropped layer is then collocated outside of the group, immediately under it The behaviour, that causes the added layer to be collocated directly below and outside of the group, instead of occupying the top spot inside it, doesn’t happen if the original position of the dragged layer is located out and below the destination group. Dragging a layer from above onto the group layer, with the azure line traversing it horizontally through the middle, works as I would expect. For me, the expected behaviour should be for the added layer to stay inside the group, in the spot it was added to, regardless from the original position of the layer being included. Perhaps, this way of handling the addition of a layer to a group was intended, but when working with an uncollapsed/expanded group this behaviour often catches me off guard. Even paying attention, it is quite easy for me to end up adding a layer mistakenly to the top most spot instead of exactly onto the group layer. System: iPad Pro 11 3rd gen OS version: 15.2.1 Affinity Photo for iPad version: 1.10.3.267 (as shown in the app) 1.10.3 (latest release in the App Store) Thank you very much and bye. group_top.mp4
  3. When inside a group containing only itself or other regulation and live filter layers, the gaussian blur live filter doesn’t work correctly. It cause a halo instead of a blur, but, most seriously, it generates very conspicuous visual glitch when the affected layers are manipulated with the move tool. Steps to reproduce: 1st create a new document, then create a black vector square inside of it 2nd add a gaussian blur live filter layer, move it outside of the layer within which it is created 3rd select the gaussian blur live filter and make a group containing only it: this creates the halo effect, instead of the blur 4th select the vector square and displace it with the move tool: this creates a glitchy trail In the video, I also show how it interacts with a bug previously reported by me, which causes live filter and regulation layers to erroneously affect unintended layers. I believe it was noteworthy, because first in the video both square had a halo but just one created the glitches, then the gaussian blur group was moved out on top of the layer hierarchy, which caused both vector square to leave a trail. For this I have no handy temporary solution, other than not grouping gaussian blur live filter layers without also including a pixel, vector or text layer. Possible solutions like restarting the device, force quitting the app, and creating a new document were tried without success. Regarding custom settings, I’ve set the retina rendering only toggle to on, but I don’t know if it is relevant. System: iPad Pro 11 3rd gen OS version: 15.2.1 Affinity Photo for iPad version: 1.10.3.267 (as shown in the app) 1.10.3 (latest release in the App Store) Thanks and bye. gaussian_blur.mp4
  4. When grouped in certain ways, live filter and regulation layers wrongly affect layers outside of their groups. This happens under the circumstances listed below. For a visual step by step guide to reproduce the issue I’ve also uploaded a video. 1st issue Steps to reproduce: 1st in a new document create a grey vector square, then create another above it 2nd select the uppermost square and make of it a group containing only itself 3rd add a recolour layer and set its visibility checkmark to not visible 4th move the recolour layer inside the group 5th turn the visibility of the recolour layer on again This causes it to affect layers out and beneath its group, In the example the grey vector square and the recolour regulation layer are used for the sake of simplicity: other layers would do the same. Presently, to remedy this, one can group and then ungroup the live filter or regulation layer to let it work correctly, like shown in the video. 2nd issue Steps to reproduce: 1st in a new document create a grey vector square, then create another above it 2nd select the uppermost square and make of it a group containing only itself 3rd add a recolour layer and move the recolour layer inside the group 4th select the recolour layer and make a group This also causes it to affect layers out and beneath its group. I have no quick remedy for this, other than avoiding grouping these kinds of layers in groups without pixel, vector or text layers. These problems persisted for me after force closing the app, turning off and on the device and creating a new document. System: iPad Pro 11 3rd gen OS version: 15.2.1 Affinity Photo for iPad version: 1.10.3.267 (as shown in the app) 1.10.3 (latest release in the App Store) Thank you for the attention. P.S. Just one last thing, the same behaviour happens on the same system in the latest version of Affinity Designer for iPad too, in cases like this, should I make a duplicate post in the Designer section of the forum? reg_livefilter.mp4
  5. Hi, and thanks for the answer. I’m happy that I could help.
  6. When selecting any solid brush, the vector brush tool doesn’t switch to it. If I select another type of brush instead, like a textured intensity brush, it will switch to it, but it still won’t allow me to switch to my solid brush from there. Creating a new category or a new solid brush doesn’t fix the issue, and I’ve also tried force quitting the app as well as restarting the iPad, but the problem persists and can be replicated. My system: 3rd Gen 11 inch iPad Pro (this year model with the M1 chip), software version 14.6 Affinity Designer: The in-app settings show version 1.9.9, despite that in the chronology of the Apple App Store the latest release is 1.9.2. Here’s a video documenting it all. vector brush bug.MP4
