  1. Beautiful font. Hope we'll get support for the variable fonts as soon as possible.
  2. The “problem “was solved by a used MacBook Pro 13” M1 given to me by my oldest son.
  3. @v_kyr Thank you for the infomation regarding the differences between the M3 Pro and the M2 Max. Highly appreciated.
  4. I do some photography and see myself primarily as a hobby photographer. The photo editing programs I use are mainly Affinity Photo 2, Capture One 23, On1 NoNoise AI 2023 and an older version of Niks Collection (pre-DxO). Now my old computer, a MacBook Pro from 2012, has become too tired and needs to be replaced with a new and fresh MacBook Pro. The question then is which one should I choose? Right now my choice is between a new MacBook Pro M2 Max, 12C 30GPU 32GB/1TB 14.2" (2023) and a new MacBook Pro M3 Pro, 12C, 18GPU, 36GB/1TB 14.2" (2023). I will not edit film or anything like that, but only edit images, write texts (Scrivener, Nisus Writer Pro, Mellel), but also use (in addition to previously listed image editing programs) programs such as Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. When it comes to work with image editing programs, is it the new M3 processor that is preferable despite having only 18GPUs or is it the "older" M2 Max processor that is preferable with its 30GPUs. Does anyone know if any of the above image editing programs benefit from more GPU cores or if these programs will benefit more from the new M3 processor (not Max but Pro)? The amount of RAM is more or less the same. 32 GB for the M2 Max and 36 GB for the M3 Pro, so I guess it's pretty similar (unless the M3 processor has better memory management) in performance. The price is more or less the same, with a small, small advantage for the M2. Which computer would you recommend for the Affinity Photo2, Designer 2, and Publisher 2?
  5. I’ve got the same problem and has had it since I installed the Affinity Designer 2 on my iPad. Quite frustrating since I do not read Chinese at all 🤓. Have to ask my grandchildren to translate for me. I really hope they will fix this bug as soon as possible.
  6. That may be the best solution to the problem. Thanks for the advice.
  7. Hopefully one step closer to a solution. Now I only want to get rid of the Beta in the Affinity Publisher folder.
  8. Hopefully one step closer to a solution. Now I only want to get rid of the Beta in the Affinity Publisher folder.
  9. I have had the same problem with the Publisher folder for the last 2/3 years, ever since I unfortunately installed a beta version of Affinity Publisher years ago. To bad that Serif have not provided a solution yet. Same goes for the wrong icons for the Affinity Designer folder.
  10. I did the same, but I installed the V2 before I deleted the V1, so I even if I deleted all the old folders, I still got the same wrong icon on the new Designer folder. The Publisher icon still has the wrong name (Affinity Publisher Beta) and it seems to be impossible to change the name of the folder.
  11. The link icon indicates that the brush is available in all 3 programs, but what does the other icon mean, that one that looks like a bag?
  12. After I installed several brushes through the »Import Content» feature in both AP2 and AD2, there are a lot of icons that I do not have the slightest clue what they meant. Could it be that I have duplicates and triplicates of several brushes in the list? Skärmdump 2022-11-15 kl. 08.58.00.pdf
  13. Still got the same problem. Got the same icon for both the Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. And I've got the folder connected to the Affinity Publisher named Affinity Publisher Beta. It seems to be impossibl to change the name and remove the »Beta» in the folder name. I thought everything should fix itself after v.2 (still on macOS 10.15.7 since my MBP is from 2012).
  14. Time flies by fast and I'm obviously still living in the past. 🤥
  15. Wait until next week before you buy any iPad version of the Affinity products. Their will be new version out by October 9th according to the announcement at the Affinity website earlier today.
  16. The hope is the last thing that abandons you. On Monday we will have the answer if Affinity managed to release their new baby or not.
  17. Since the new iPadOS is due to be released on Monday Oct 24th, hopefully the new Affinity version on the same platform (iPadOS) will be released as well.
  18. I really, really hope that the AP for iPad will be workable in my iPad Air 3. If not, 😢😥😭
  19. Now it's nearly a week into the month of September. I hope they will release the AP for iPad very soon due to this weeks Apple Event. Hope they will not delay the release of AP for the iPad until Apples release of the new iPadOS (that is rumoured to be delayed some weeks or more).
  20. It does not say »summer» anymore. Now it's only saying »Affinity Publisher for iPad — coming soon!»
