    I am having the same issue. (opacity defaulting to 0%) For some reason this tends to happen when I'm connecting and disconnecting my Wacom tablet. Wish I could figure out how to prevent this. When I copy and paste my work into a new document, the problem goes away. edit: I fixed it. Make sure the brush tool is selected, then click Edit -> Defaults -> Factory Reset
