When I make a file for Design Space for Cricut (SVG) I always have issues where the image does not show up when I upload it (into DS). I need to know what I'm doing wrong when I add images into my design. I have other designs that have the same curves/layers for the images on those files but this one won't work. Thanks for your help!! Prayer Warrior.afdesign

I have had this happen before but not sure how I got it to work. I have a sword that I added to the file. I am trying to get it to work as an SVG in Design Space for Cricut. The first file is with the sword in a layer and the sword is a curve. This will upload to Cricut in the second picture all wonky. The third picture is me changing the sword to a group and then trying that. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? THANK YOU!! Jenny

Filling Shape

That is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much. I think my problem is I am grouping things not merging curves. Little by little I am getting this! Jenny -
Filling Shape

It looks perfect (😃) but when I upload it to Cricut Design Space it says it clipping paths are not supported. If you look at this part of the youtube, this is what I want to do. -
I had a similar issue with a recent post for what I need help for now. I have a heart shape and want to fill it with a flag. I made a flag with vector shapes (see file below). I tried using 'Paste Inside' to get the flag inside the heart but that didn't work when I uploaded it to Cricut Design Space. I followed a tutorial from a gal I follow on Youtube and her heart was a 'compound' I can't get mine to be a compound (my heart was created with the shape tool). The flag that she copied on to her file showed each layer that were curves (see screenshot below). I made a flag (see file below) and I can't get mine to be curves (per color). Any advice on what I'm doing wrong? Also once I get MY flag file to be curves I need to know how to get it to go inside the heart using the 'subtract' function. I am including all of my files. The one I am trying to get be my final (Land that I Love), the flag screenshot of the person who I was following her tutorial and my flag file I made so I could use my own work to put inside my heart. When I try to upload it to DS I choose the file then it goes back to the 'upload' window. Nothing happens. I did get it to upload by converting the PNG in Convertio.co and then uploading that SVG. When I uploaded that SVG it comes in grouped. I ungroped it but it was not separated by color/layer (the butterfly specifically) I think the text came in OK. See attached (I moved the grouped things in the butterfly so you can see how it came in).

Hello Dan and Ron- Thank you for the response. My layers are perfect but when I select all my layers and then try and go to geometry and then to merge curves it isn't available. Also, when I upload the SVG into Cricut nothing happens. Now- I took the PNG exported file into Convertio.co and exported it as a SVG and it uploaded into Cricut but no color on the layers.

Hi I am Jenny, in Scottsdale, AZ. I have two teenage kids and am a teacher (but ready to retire). I just purchased AD today. I have been using the trial version and really liked it. I started a business where I design things to sell so I can have a supplementary income. I need a lot of help since I am fairly new at this. I appreciate any help anyone is willing to offer me. Jenny

I have a picture of text along with a butterfly with an American flag on the shape of it. I need to get each of the colors on separate layers so when I save it as an SVG it saves in color and separate so people can take each layer and cut them out with a Cricut machine. Is this possible?
