I am working on photobooks in Publisher (again) and try to reorder/add/delete single pages (not spreads) – and it messes up the entire doc from that page onwards.
The original document was set-up with facing page spreads, starting on the right.
1. I tried to delete the first page and start on the left (as that was what a different printer needed), but whichever order I did it (delete page first and change to left-start then or vice versa) all pages I had created that didn't exactly follow a master or did only have a basic master applied (page background) got completely messed up or a master seems to be applied that was never allocated to that page. What is happening?? What am I missing?
2. The second problem is similar. This time I tried to move a single page from one position to a different one in the book and got the following:
The left image is a screenshot of 3 spreads before the move, the right one after. Why does this happen? This is sort-of acceptable when it is only affecting one or 2 pages but completely unacceptable when there are 50 more pages following in the document, all with similar issues.
3. Can I define masters for the content of a single page independent of the location of the page (left or right-hand) even though I use spreads/facing pages?
4. Why does Publisher not keep page layouts with its pages when they are moved?
Lot's of questions, sorry. If there is a VDO anywhere, where all this is explained, I am more than happy to check that out. I just couldn't find anything that went beyond the basics of page masters and how they are applied.
Thanks for your help/advice.
