  1. Hi Community Just wanted give you an update: After I restored a bakckup image of my Windows 10 Pro everything worked as expected again. Since then APub works smooth a reliabely again. The Windows 10 Pro version has about update state from March 2021. The version of Affinity Publisher is 1.9.2.1035. The performance settings I am using can be seen in the attachement. Hardware Acceleration seems not to be the troublemaker as it has been reported by others. May be I update Affinity Publisher to the latest version to see what happen.
  2. It happen on any documents, even on a brand new one with no extra layer inserted (A4, 400 dpi, CMYK). For instance, when I try on a document as described before want to switch from the paragraph panel (panel/dock, on the right side of the window) to the swatches panel it takes up to seven seconds. While this happen I can not do any further work and the sandclock on the app windows starts to turn and says (not responding).
  3. Hi Community I am on AP latest build 1.10.4.1198 / Win10Pro 10.0.19043 / Dell XPS 9370 I recently noticed that AP has become very sluggish und unresponsive. I didn't made any changes to the system or to AP besides the updates on both. I think it might have somthing to do with the updated version of AP. I tried it with hardware acceleration on and off. I also set the RAM limit to 4 and 6 GB. It didn't solve the problem. Have you any suggestions to me? Do some of you also struggle with such troubles? Have you any ideas what could trigger it? Thanks in advance Jayenbee
  4. When I moved one of the nodes, it scaled the image. The problem was solved after I unchecked the anchor. Afterwards the scale-setting "none" worked as expected. Anto's hint worked too. One can have left the anchor checked and make use of the setting "Lock children". The image frames content doesn't get resized while draging the nodes this way too. Greets Jayenbee
  5. Jesus! that setting was hard to find. It found it by clicking the arrows on the toolbars end on the right. Thanks a lot for the hint. After I checked "Lock children" it worked perfectly. Thanks and cheers Jayenbee
  6. Hi Community I'm on Publisher 1.10.4.1198. I have a picture frame with multiple adjustment layers and with three more sub-groups in it. The sub-groups contain masks and adjustment layers. Problem: I try to resize the picture frame but not the Image in it. Only the frame. I therefore drag the picture frame on one of the blue bullets with the move tool. The Image gets resized too. It looks like it is attached to the image frame. If I put a new image frame in the document with a image in it, i can resize the frame with the same technic as desribed but the image gets not touched. It stays in the same size. How can I in my above discribed image frame with its sub-groups achieve, that only the frame gets riesized but not the image? Edit: The frame "Properties" is set to "None" - The picture will not be scaled Thanks in advance. Jayenbee
  7. Hello community ...I still have the feeling, that Photo and Publisher, may be Designer too have become very unstable since the last updates. OpenCL support is now on all products deactivated. On Publisher, this didn't solve the problem. Whenever I try to move text objects Publisher immediately crashes. See vid. Id worked this day so far and I was able to create the document one can see in the video to this stage. Then the trouble started. I also noticed that the snapping functionality has become unreliably as well. Sometimes it is not working despite it is on. Sometime turn it on and off again helps. Has any body an idea how I can fix this or a workaround? Edit: Sry that the vid stops so fast. I have used win10 gamebar for the caption and I don't see an option for manually stopping the recording. Thanks in advance. Jayenbee Affinity Publisher 2021-06-20 20-20-13.mp4
  8. I have experienced this as well as other troubles while trying to set up the format for a list with bullets and numbers. What confuses me even more on Old Bruce's post is that he is mentioning, that this setting has to be done through the character setttings. But his printscreen is showing the **paragraph** setting section. For me it seems, that the format adjustments have to be done in an specific order, even if you stay in the settings page for paragraphs. Some the settings seem to me not getting updated in the background. This leads to unpredicted format changes of the bulltet and number tool because it changes the values erratically. For changes afterwards OR when it was still not working I had to set the list paragraph to "NO STYLE" in the "Texstyle Tab" (View - Studio - Textstyles or sth similar).
  9. I don't know how this is related to the topic but I am glad if it helps you out in some way.
  10. Thanks Walt! I tested this solution under the same task (perspective operations, general use) and it seems to work this way. Thanks Jayenbee
  11. Hello community I notice a huge amount of crashes with AP. The crashes occur heavily when I perform operations with the perspective tool. I have the feeling that other tasks are involved as well because sometimes even saving takes extremely long. I can also confirm this bug as described by other user: Affinity Photo becomes unresponsive trying to do normal editing - Photo Bugs found on Windows - Affinity | Forum (serif.com) If it happen, the only way to go ahead is to kill the AP task and restart the app as far as I know. It would be great if you provide some bug fixes with the next update. Is there a workaround for this? Are there any nightly builds of AP available? Thanks in advance Jayenbee
