  1. Like Gabe says. Try the Betal For me it solved the issues I had. With large documents, after opening with the 1.9 version I just let the programm do its things for about 15 minutes. When I tried again the performance was ok. With version 1.10 I could start working immediatly after opening the document. My document contained 240 pages on A4, and had more then 300 pictures in it.   2. It is, and since I tried it so fast, I did not even notice that my spotify just keeps singing without stuttering. In taskmanager, processortime does not jump to 98% al the time, it stays at aproximatly 30%. same with memory it now stays at 77% in stead of hitting 100% all the time. This is a great improvement.   3. Well Gabe, It is like working with a completely other program! I can jump from page to page and start editing right away instead of having to wait for more then 30 seconds. My system configuration: Operating system: Windows 10 - Home Premium Edition Version: 10.0.19041 Application architecture: x64 System architecture: x64 Logical processor count: 8 Processor speed: 3,5GHz SqLite Version: 3.34.0 Built-in memory: 32719,2 MB Displays: 1) 2560x1440, 2) 1920x1200 Input types: Multitouch: No, Integrated touch: No, Integrated pen: No, External touch: No, External pen: No, Keyboard: No Graphics Processor Info: DirectX: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (27.21.14.5671) The hdd where the files are located: Western Digital 3 TB Red 3.5" SATA III The disk containing the Affinity file is st2000dm001-1er164 a Seagate Barracuda After starting the document, it takes about 15 minutes before I can get anything done. The document has more then 300 pictures in it. So if it is going to check all the images each time you start, you get a lot of wasted time waiting for the file to be loaded. But this is probably by design. Perhaps it should be a choice to check all the pictures each time you want to edit the document.
  5. I created a document that now contains 240 pages. The pictures are linked in. Whenever I start this document, I have to wait at least 5 minutes before I can begin any action. When I click on a picture, or want to edit some text, I have to wait a few minutes before the program responses. I am now trying to replace a few small JPG's, and every time I click on a picture, publisher freezes. I have to end publisher with the Task Manager, start over, and again have to wait a long time before I can start working. Every change I have to save, because chances are big, the program will freeze again. It is impossible to work with it. I have the latest version of publisher on a windowd 10 system with 32 gigabyte of Ram, plenty of diskspace.
  6. Okay, I tried to follow the procedure, but all ik get when downloading the Dutch dictionary, is a 1kb file Dictionary_nl.mk. It is realy frustrating that Affinity does nog provide the proper link or way to add a dictionary. I searched the forum, and get even different answers on where to place the dictionary. Is there someone who can tell step by step how to add the dictionary to publisher. I only get very nerveus from the flickering explanation above which is changing way to fast. Thanks in advance!   7. Thanks. I will be more carefull nextime, and remember the first one is the original. And still, after renaming, I check an existing page to see which master it has. So check and double check. Thanks again! I am reletivaly new to publisher. I am just working on my second project. Still trying to improve my skills, and follow some youtube tutorials..
  8. It will be a problem after you start editing the wrong one. 🙂 I agree it is not a "real" problem, but incremental numbers would prevent from making this mistake (again). I was very glad that I just recently made a backup, otherwise it would have been hours to recover from the mistake I made.
  9. The problem is when working on a large document, and I want a tweak on my masterpage, I copy/duplicate the masterpage, but witch one is the original, and which one is the copy? It is easy to rename the wrong one, and just finding out when you have made some adjustments. I give my masterpages names, so i can easily see which one I want to use. Therefore by duplicating one, you get two with the same name. One that has been used on several pages, and one that is new. It is no problem when you set up all your masterpages at the beginning of your workflow, but sometimes halfway the document you realise you need something extra...
  10. When I make a copy of a Master Page in Publisher, it gets the same name as the original. It is easy to make a mistake and start editing the wrong masterpage that can cause a lot of damage to your pages. So when duplicated, please ad "copy" to the name.
