  1. I have re-downloaded Baskerville BT and it now seems to work OK, though the way of changing from roman to bold, italic and bold italic is different from what I have been used to. Unfortunately, I also re-downloaded a free version of Baskerville but it seems to lack any means of creating bold italic. Obviously more experiments needed. Thanks for your help. Jonathan PS Alfred's interpretation of what I was trying to say is correct.
  2. It makes no difference. See the attached new test file where I have done as was suggested. But does this mean that Affinity does not use the Bold Italic version but creates it from the Bold or the Italic? The font comes as four separate download files, so Bold Italic should not be any kind of subset. Test file 2.pdf
  3. I have been using PagePlus for some years very happily and am assessing whether Affinity is suitable as a replacement. However, I have found that although PagePlus produces PDFs which accurately match the input images, with Affinity there is a major issue. I attach the original colour swatch I wished to use for the background to the page, and a PDF produced when this was placed in an Affinity file and then output as a PDF. The colours are completely different. For this project it is vital that colours are accurate. NER green.tif NER book covers v2.pdf
  4. I have been having a similar problem with both Baskerville Bold Italic and Baskerville BT bold italic though the roman, italic and bold versions are fine and I have recently downloaded new versions of the fonts in case mine were corrupted. I had the same problem with Baskerville bold italic, bit not the Baskerville BT version in PagePlus. I attach a sample, though for some reason when I try to set the font as Baskerville it chooses Baskerville BT instead, so the top part of the sample is invalid. However, it illustrates the issue with Baskerville BT. Test file.pdf
