Hi everyone! I have huge problem in develop persona. When I do some noise reduction to the picture, it won't stay there after developing the image. Same happened if I tried to do noise reduction after developing and using a noise reduction filter. So what I'm doing wrong?

I would be very glad if you can give me some short video material or something that shows me every detail step by step. From all these great videos i've watched in here teaching me much more than trying to following instructions. This whole thing is completely new world for me and I understand the main purposes of layers and masks, but in practice I don't know nothing about them. I have no any idea what you have done in your layers.

Why I need to mask that pixel layer? And how to do it? Just selected the pixel layer and press "layer" "new mask layer"? Is it better than just zoom much and swipe these bad areas with eraser? And at the end, how you can just select this monk to changing it colors because there is now the ropes on it? Here is my picture without masks and both ropes are separated their own layers. I Think that your mask trick might be better than this, but the question is why? I just want to use best solution.

That current layer and below works and I can clone that rope now. This just leave ugly painting around the rope, so do I need to choose this layer and and right click and mask below? Next select eraser and swipe these away or something?

What i've done so far is that I had open these two pictures. Then I used quick selection tool for a monk and copying it to ring picture. I had resize this monk same size with a ring. Now I have one original ring picture layer and just a pixel layer of the monk. What's next?

It doesn't allow me to use clone tool over the monk? Why is that? I have tried use it to a original ring layer and that monk pixel layer :o

Hi! I like to do my first composite training picture, but I've got a huge problem. How can I composite these two pictures preserving the ring ropes? If I just selecting the monk from another picture and just copy it to a ring picture (I have an idea the monk is sitting in the middle of a ring) that goes to straight on the ropes which look like the monk is levitating front of the ring. :wacko:

And always next to this preserve alpha option has these 3 another boxes (merge, delete, reset) so when these should be use? This merge is a term that I've never heard before in anywhere.

Nobody can explain this term to me? :/ Or even tell me if it's important to check anytime when it's shows up in some options.

Is there any way to use selection tool fast again? Let's take some example. First I select some person from the picture with selection tool and using some adjustment layers to changing tone of this person. After that I would do some other tricks and then I example get the idea to move this person somewhere else in picture, and for that I must use the selection tool again. To ease this job, it could be much better if I could use this same selection set up I used before. There is too much work to do this "perfect" selection again and again. Hope you guys know how to solve my problem :)

Hey CTU Jack Bauer! Thanks for the answer! I've seen all these tutorial videos already and I was trying to do some adjust, but even so it doesn't match with the black background. It's almost impossible to get the line going straight to a objects edge. Every time I zoom the picture, I can see the tool isn't there I want it to go. I think it might be possible to get all the objects pixels, but the time it requires might be 1 to 2 hours. I don't have that much time to a one single tool. Think it's might occur my less inexperience. Greetings from Finland too, last of three months there have been 5 sunny days at maximum :D

This is quite awful, but still better than another one witch has a horrible sawtooth effect.

I really can't understand why the edges always looks like a s*it after I have used this selection brush tool and then select invert pixel and painting the background with a black. How you making a black background on a picture with a sharp and exact edges?
