I initially purchased Designer on my Mac, managed to activate Photo after the buy-again trick. Just needed to log into my Affinity ID when I opened Photo.
Trying iPad Versions now.
Edit: iPad Version worked just fine.

I can confirm attempting to purchase the license again, worked as well for me.
During the first attempt the dialog for logging into the Affinity Account to link the profile with the purchase did not open, the dialog remained in its previous state as far as I can remember.
Now, the license also appears currently in my Affinity profile.

I have the exact same issue.
I contacted them via twitter, no response. I contacted Apple, they just told me to talk to Affinity. I found a phone number on their site, but when you call, it takes you through their menu, then when you select to speak to a support department, it just tells you they're closed and hangs up on you
Have to say, this is pretty shoddy behaviour. So I'm £90 down and don't have anything to show for it. Software isn't activated, doesn't work and now I can't work until this is resolved. Thanks a ****** bunch! 🤬 

The thing is, when I'm designing, I don't want to have to be setting this attribute on every object I draw, I mean that's just nuts! I want to get on with the job of designing and drawing and export to hard edged pixels when I need to. The level of detail anti-aliasing control is wonderful for people who are designing pixel-based designs from the get go. My purpose is to create clean edged designs with strict colour counts for screen-printing with the caveat, that the designs may be printed with anti-aliasing as well depending on the product and method of printing required. Thanks for reading and taking on board all my comments and niggles. It may not sound like it, but I love Affinity and am looking forward to updates and upgrades! :)

An homage to the vintage and modern Seamasters and James Bond, we are partnering with Lew and Huey watch co to have this made into a real watch! This has been my first full project rendered completely in Affinity apps and am now not pining for AI, or PS in any way. lol :D

First efforts with Affinity Design (I've used illustrator for years . I find Affinity it be an excellent and powerful app with some really good features, I would LOVE a smooth tool (like in illustrator), and so far that's the thing, possibly the only thing, I miss!

I hear ya, Synaptic.... As a temporary workaround, keep in mind one does not need to apply the anti-alias to each object. Just design using the Force Pixel alignment option and other appropriate settings in the snap window and when you're done, simply Select All and then apply a flat Anti-alias ramp.
 
Also, I would personally use a Square cut-off at the 50% mark, for a more realistic and accurate conversion to anti-alias, rather than simply a flat line at 0% or 100%....
 

Just chiming in to say that I'd also like to see an option to disable anti-aliasing across the board. The coverage feature is very handy for tweaking the look of the AA. But when working with certain low-res art styles I need to be able to just turn it off altogether.
 
Having to toggle it manually per object is tiresome; when quickly iterating during the drawing phase I want to just be creative and not have apply a specific setting or preset all the time.
 
Perhaps the coverage could be stored with the default settings when using the "Synchronise" button?

That's something I think we could maybe look into..

Still having huge difficulty with exports. Every export is slow. PDF/SVG/EPS files take 5-15 minutes to export and are generally faulty in some way. Raster format exports are okay, but taking significantly longer than expected. 
 
Blue progress bar doesn't show.

No problem, I'm sure we can sort that out - it's a good idea :)

Another improvement not listed in the first topic: Affinity now keeps the last ten used fonts on top of the font list.
