  1. Hi again @William Overington! Just like @AdamStanislav said "Feliz" originates from the Latin word "Felix" and it can be used as happy or merry. Actualy, in anglo-saxon languages this word gave origin to words as felicitate, felicitations, felicity, etc. In Portuguese "feliz" is pronounced [felish] like it was being said by someone from Scotland. Happy New Year! Happy Holidays!
  2. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! This year, I decided to create a new update on my Christmas graphic design from 2018, and I gave it a 1950s retro look with the old comics visual style. I kept the same font but changed its colour palette and graphic display. Then two layers of textures were added to create that vintage look of midcentury printed comic magazines. Boas Festas! Happy Holidays!
  3. Thanks for your positive reviews dannyg9 and @MikeTO! And don't you worry @dannyg9, people from the 60s/70s are not old, but vintage!
  4. A vector illustration of a beetle car with a cool vintage 60's look. The other vectorial elements and color gradients add to give this illustration a warm summer vibe . This flat design image was created by following a tutorial by visual artist Isabel Aracama (www.isabelaracama.com). If you wish to see more of my visual art designs: https://www.instagram.com/anacardoliva
  5. A funny cartoon of a proud bee to celebrate Pride Month. This image is the last cartoon made from a group of other elements (logos, menus, etc.) created as the communication design for a business visual concept.
  6. Besides using A. Designer tools to create more elaborate illustrations, I also like to use it in more simple designs, like for instance cartoons. I created “Doodle with Sign” as a comic side project, also inspired by the “Dude with Sign” viral street performance. The visual concept is defined by minimal ink lines and a vintage graphic aesthetic. The 2nd. image is the intro image I created for posting this cartoon in slide mode, in certain social networks. Note: “Olive Thistle” is my alias for cartoons. Enjoy!
  7. Thank you all for your positives reviews. William Overington, yes I created that glass dome to look very subtle by using 2 layers, one for the glass effect and other to give a light effect from the right. And I'll follow your advice on the spacing between the text and image.
  8. “Space Base” is a vectorial image with a sci-fi theme, created as if it was a still frame from an anime movie. Another vector illustration made with basic shapes, gradients and this time, special brushes for the clouds. This work was also made following a tutorial by visual artist Isabel Aracama, and you can acess her site for this tutorial plus the freebies: www.isabelaracama.com
  9. A vector illustration of a ramen bowl, with use of basic shapes, gradient colors and shading effects. This work was made following a tutorial by visual artist Isabel Aracama.
