No, Affinity rely on Apple's iOS system to interface externally with storage systems. You should be able to utilise any cloud service however, iOS tends to interface best with ICloud as they are both produced by Apple. I assume Google are not overly concerned about interface issues with competitors products as they have their own products and ecosystem.😉

Just to clarify, the Open from Cloud option is not restricted to iCloud. It allows access via files app to any available storage system, including networked hard drives, and cloud storage provided by other companies.

And if Google had a design program I would be using it because they are the most friendly with iOS and PC both (and I use both for my business). I guess I will be signing up for Dropbox and giving them a shot I got rid of them cause Google is better.

If affinity doesn’t export to Google drive correctly that’s on affinity not Google.

How are you planning to send it? You should be able to browse to the saved file ‘On My iPad’ to attach it to an email.

That’s not gonna work. I am sending it to a printer over seas and files need to be in highest format. So png or psd is preferred and so usually I send him the Google link for the folder to get the files from.

The affinity file format is the same for desktop and iPad. Just save to any cloud. Close the file. Change device and use open from Cloud and select the file. When ready to switch just save and close again (to cloud).

So it still won’t upload to Google drive.

And to clarify does Affinity designer have its own cloud storage? Cause that’s the whole issue I am having. I need the file off of my iPad so I can send it to my fabric printer. Buying another version of the app won’t help if I have to use Google drive or another third party cloud service if I can’t even get it to go off of the iPad in the first place.

Affinity uses the Files app to transfer files. Are you able to transfer any files to your Google drive directly from the Files app?
Is the issue restricted to your Google drive? I.e. Are you able to export your files to a local directory or to iCloud?

I will try that. Also as a side note if I buy the desktop version will it share documents between the two versions automatically or how would I do that? Because this is a pain to get them out of affinity designer.
