It's unlikely to until you have time to provide a better description of each problem, with screenshots and videos. But if you think there's any possibility that it's hardware-related (RAM, etc.) I would look at those first.

Which app are you working in? If you're in Designer the quickest way is to use the 'X' button located at the bottom left hand corner, this will clear all active object selections. If you do have a magic/external keyboard connected to your iPad unfortunately the CMD + D to deselect doesn't currently clear active object selections when it should, only pixel selections which is logged with the developers.

So how does one convert a sketch made using the vector brush tool into a vector shape then? 
There surely must be a way. If not then that is disappointing indeed. Why is it called a Vector Brush Tool if it's raster?

So basically I have to sketch using the pencil tool and set the properties? Struggling a bit with that. Say I want a curved line that starts and ends with a point (eg. engraving #64) I can set the pencil stroke to draw that and then expand stroke. Is that possible, because all I seem to be able to do is draw a basic line set at whatever stroke width and then change it after in the preferences.

Just opened up AD there to find it inviting me to update to 2.2 again and I was thinking this bug had returned and I hadn't fixed it - only to find this time it is an actual update ! literally the day after I came on to finally figure out this bug to find out there wasn't actually an update 

Have you tried going to "%ProgramData%\Affinity\Designer\2.0\" as per Sean's post? (You seem to be looking elsewhere!)

You will have larger pixels, and (if I remember correctly) you will have to worry about anti-aliasing and also alignmeant with the document pixel grid and also resampling back to the document DPI since the resizing of the pixel layer will have changed its DPI.

If you have Photo, the Pixelate Filter should do the job, but it has a permanent effect on the layer you apply it to (no Live version yet).

What do Affinity mean by Vector Layer ?
If I create an object the software creates a layer contain vectors so what is that if it isn't a vector layer ? 
It would also have been easier if people could just communicate with language rather that constantly complaining about not having pictures - ie. just ask me for more details maybe - if you don't want to help because there's no screenshot or video then don't help

Why the selective application of Effects that are applied to the Shape to the subsequent Pixel Layers underneath then? Why do some apply down and some not? 
Consistency is always useful when using complex software applications

I was tasked with drawing a rocket for a project, so i made it reference the Beastie Boys. I love messing around like this. 

This was my Retro Sci-fi poster I was looking for fonts for - a Fan Art Tour Poster for the Pixies upcoming tour where they're going to play the last two full albums they released before splitting up in the early 90's
As someone who only saw three songs by them in their hey day because the gig got stopped half way through and who have only so far heard them play 3 songs in total from these albums despite seeing them live 4 times so far I'm totally stoked to be going to see them on the 20th at Paradiso
If you're a Pixies fan then you should spot a few song references to those two albums 

The parallelogram shows that the gradient has been sheared / skewed / rotated from the position in which it was originally created.
This can be helpful if you have several objects that are supposed to have the same gradient (but no longer do).
If you are happy to accept the new distorted gradient, then a double click on any handle of the parallelogram will remove the additional handles.

Yes it looks like something folk probably made with paper cut outs in the old days
They're also not "back" in the sense the band have reformed for this tour - they reformed in 2004 and have been touring and writing new 2.0 albums for some years now - the current line up also is minus Kim Deal who is featured on the poster and it will instead be Paz Lenchantin playing with them on this tour ( very talented and suitable replacement ) so it's also not factually correct in several different ways - it is more a piece of art than specifically an info-poster
I thought about adding something on there that said "Featuring new Kim Deal 2.0" or something like that too

Yeah, “15 nights only” doesn’t quite have the same ring about it.
I think I might have tried adding shadows myself, looked at it for a bit, and then removed them.
I only suggested it as the design looked like some ‘paper cut-out’ art that I’ve seen elsewhere which I liked.

This was just a quick one that I decided to do for a futurism section on reddit a little while back. Really could do with a couple of adjustments that I will do sometime. Shock horror the AI crowd piled in proclaiming it was generated which seems to be the way now if it’s more complicated than a stick man. No point in trying to argue your case on there as they always know best.

Your active brush on the eraser brush tool stands out as a little odd to me because there doesn't appear to be a visible brush head preview, you could change to a different brush such as a brush in the 'basic' category. It could also be that the opacity of the brush has been set to 0%, try tapping on the accumulation button highlighted below and change it to opacity and increase the opacity value and try erasing again.

 

Dunno and dunno as I say it crashed and then I solved it by deleting a massive pixel layer - I'll look into it further if it happens again
