I just assumed they would be there as standard as I've not installed any fonts on anything - I've only installed effects and stuff - why doesn't the iPad version just have the same fonts by defaults ?

And the app just crashed there too.. 🤦‍♂️ Is the iPad version crashing going to be always be a standard feature of the software going forward then - because this problem it seems to me has been there throughout the whole time I've used Affinity on the iPad

I saved an AD2 file to the cloud and reopened and one of the fonts on some text boxes changed It was supposed to be Ravie but it changed to something else when I opened the file up on the iPad version and in the context toolbar it says ? Ravie in red writing

Just using Publisher V2 to create a poster - actually moving in between that and Designer (one of the best features of Affinity is the ability to open files in other apps easily) But I still can't see what use Publisher is to me - what can it do that Designer can't ? for my purposes anyway at first glance Someone said a while back there are more Fonts but all I can see is the same selection of Fonts that's on Designer and Photo ? Are there additional Fonts that are specific to Publisher ?

That's the dandy 👍 Within the Node Tool - of course Your explanation above could just have been "you have to select the Node Tool" though not sure why I need to have the Move Tool selected in order to select the Warped Layer - but anyway cheers - a simple fix is the best fix 💡

Finding a use for this feature in a new design I'm working on - which is really cool I hope this one sprouts some wings I'm having difficulty going back into objects - in this instance a Text Box - to adjust the amount of warp etc. I can't find the settings in the context bar and the only way I can find to get them back is you apply the same function Layer > Warp Group > Bend Horizontal but when I do that it seems to reset the box and just bugger everything up How do I get the settings back ? I tried a quick search and the first hit was a thread on bugs that's still need sorting so maybe that's what this is - hopefully just me not knowing what button to press again though

I just created another document and it's doing what it's supposed to there - I've obviously hit some setting but I can't see this icon - anywhere!

I'm laying down some basic vector shapes - closing them - for a new project For some reason I can't work out though it's no longer creating a new layer when I close an object and starting laying down new points - what am I doing wrong ? has some setting changed ? What button have I pressed ?

How come I always keep getting tripped up with this short key - Z ? It's useful for switching in between zoom and whatever function I'm using - sometimes though it is determined not to work so I end up clicking back and forth with the Z and then before you know it I've ended up moving some layer off the page and then also I can't get it back because then CTRL-Z then refuses to work ! 😠 I keep going through the same crap time and again and I need to figure out if this is a software glitch or something I'm not doing right ! It should show the + icon sign for zoom but sometimes it's slow to appear or doesn't appear until I start zooming using the left mouse button and holding it down

Well maybe the developers will take heed of my comments and introduce this as a feature - seeing as the promise of new features coming was part of the pitch last year when they offered the introductory deal (which I took)

I can see tutorials on how to do this on Windows but nothing on the iPad I just want to change the order of the tools in the menu where the Pencil and Vector Brush are - I don't really use the Pencil at all (maybe I will some day) and every time I want to click on the Vector Brush I have to click the corner to get the options to drop down - it would be easier (for me) if the Vector Brush was the default tool there instead of the Pencil Other than that I'm finding the new interface mostly an improvement - I especially the the options along the top bar (whatever it's called) when the Move Tool is selected - it's easier to navigate round the Bolleans and that - I like the drop down menus there (but clicking the corner of the toolbar on the left can be tricky sometimes)

On a DVD backup somewhere probably I'm just going to roll with it - it shouldn't make a lot of difference anyway but I'm a perfectionist Busy trying to wrap up some new designs for a print run - fun part is the next few days breaking my back cutting up A1 mount board

Anyone know how to get rid of these lines? These vector objects are supposed to be TOUCHING - I duplicated and reflected so I could expand the border area out and I did it this way because the pixel brushes got clipped What a nightmare - for all the difference it'll probably make? Failing this I'll just frigging redo ALL the brush effects tomorrow again if the software isn't going to work with me!

Honest to god, how hard does expanding a frigging border out have to be? I employed this roundabout way and now I've got a pixel thin line running round the middle of the border - I tried applying an eraser to the group of layer and touching it up which then left a mask layer and the jpg conversion came out rubbish! 🤮

Ah whatever - I just worked out a fix by duplicating and reflecting off the edges I'm guessing that's all I can do because the brush strokes outside the boundary I was previously using are gone forever now probably ! 😩

I just want to make the white boundary on this design a bit thicker - expand it out a bit - but it looks like I've taken groups of pixels layers and rasterised then and so the program has clipped them so when I expand the area of the vector object out now the brush strokes that were previous laid down are not there - and so therefore I end up with this hard edge 🤦‍♂️ Does anyone know a way I can fix this that avoids me having to redo all the pigging brush strokes again? This function would be where exactly? I'm trying to figure out basic stuff again - like how to merge Pixel Layers in Designer and all I can find searching the internet is to select the Pixel Layer and then select Merge and Rasterise - but none of the links tell you where to find Merge and Rasterise - and all I can find is just Rasterise Anyone know?

Restarting achieved nothing So I just deleted both Photo V1 and Designer V1 - which freed up exactly 10GB on my iPad - which was nice Files saved in locations other than as explained by Walt here remained I used the Delete App option in the settings > general / iPad Storage
