Technically I just showed you are actually 2 years younger than you thought you were 😉

1989? 1987 was very early for them I'm not sure they would have cracked the international scene by then as their first EP Come On Pilgrim didn't come out until September 1987 Pixies Concert Setlist at Bizarre Special on May 13, 1989 | setlist.fm

Lucky you ! Where was that ? I'm just reworking this design minus the poster into a square format with better UFOs

So whether or not I hold a certain key down or not dictates whether or not it collapses everything down or just hides everything so it's all there when I reopen it? I don't know - is there not option to just collapse everything down on the iPad ? and if not why not ! Why are they always differences in functionality between the iPad and Windows? I get the interface has to be different but they should all feature the same basic features

Sorry but how I'm reading this thread - this is exactly what this thread is about From the first post: Creating a new Parent Layer and collapsing it does not collapse all the open layers within it - so when I reopen it they also fly open and if I end up with a massive list of open layers and get lost then "Collapse All Parent Layers" is a useful function If it's not a feature of the iPad then why not ? This a basic feature !

I'm clicking the chevron - where else would I be clicking to make the child layers appear and disappear ? The issue in question is how to collapse ALL the layers - ALL the parent layers - like when you right click on the layers menu in Windows - if it was just how to collapse one parent layer then there would hardly be an issue would there ?

Thumbnails Not Showing on Layers Panel

I don't know about this new dual RAM rig - it's an HP Omen Gaming PC and I think bad for compatibility issues - some under the hood tinkering may be required All I can say is I didn't see any improvement in Gaming if anything slightly worse maybe ? and some other minor browsing issues Windows keeps wanting me to upgrade to 11 and I'm thinking - why are there two Windows anyway - why don't they just upgrade Windows 10 into whatever they want 11 to be ? 11 is the number of the Devil's Horns Buy a computer - wait 3 years - then slowly everything starts to go slower - it's a swindle -

I'm waiting for it to do it again Wondering if it might be something to do with new 32GB Dual RAM cards I replaced the original 8GB RAM with recently - I noticed the clock speed going down after and apparently I have to go into the BIOS and tinker about which I'm reticent to do because it might mean stressing out my graphics card possibly - I think only this should improve performance for gaming really anyway and I would have thought more RAM shouldn't present any issues like missing thumbnails but I'm not an expert on PC builds -
Never know what's a bug or just me pressing the wrong button Every time I go back to edit transparency gradients it's suddenly for some reason turned into a rectangle - is it because I'm adjusting the rotation of the parent layer that this is happening ? If it is that then it still shouldn't - besides it still says it's linear in the context toolbar This causes me to reset the whole gradient and start again - which is luckily what I'm wanting to do anyway

Such as if I select a layer and adjust the opacity for example, then I go to select a different layer and it doesn't select it on the first click and I keep having to go back and reselect the layer because whatever it is I wanted to do isn't working ! Small things like this are starting to get irritating and in the way of work flow - like I don't know why for some reason hitting Z doesn't always take me to zoom in and out mode and I find myself having to click several times and muck about until I can the zoom function to become operational - why or when ISN'T the Z key taking me straight in or out of zoom mode ?
-
On Designer If I save then they show up - otherwise some or all are just blank squares and unless I've labelled each layer I can't see what layer is what Maybe just affects more complex files - but I'm packing 32GB of RAM so..

Yes it looks like something folk probably made with paper cut outs in the old days They're also not "back" in the sense the band have reformed for this tour - they reformed in 2004 and have been touring and writing new 2.0 albums for some years now - the current line up also is minus Kim Deal who is featured on the poster and it will instead be Paz Lenchantin playing with them on this tour ( very talented and suitable replacement ) so it's also not factually correct in several different ways - it is more a piece of art than specifically an info-poster I thought about adding something on there that said "Featuring new Kim Deal 2.0" or something like that too

Cheers - appreciate the feedback and suggestions - I have paid a lot of consideration to the arrangement and I found this to be the best - I wanted to go for something quirky and humorous and 3 Nights Only had more impact that 15 Nights and it can be altered to display each venue Most important thing is the design - I think shadows would make the design too messy - I've had to make this choice before to sacrifice realism a little for overall composition I guess I'm not the most experienced illustrator but nonetheless I find keeping things simple is a good rule of thumb to go by - let the brushes do the work and don't add too many strokes As it is I like the way the foreground is really bright like there is also a spaceship in front of them or just behind or above the viewpoint bearing some bright alien space craft light down on to them also - so in that respect it's better not to have shadows I think ? It also isn't snow - the caricatures of the band are based on the video Velouria which is a slow motion shot of them jumping over some rocks at a quarry and initially I was going for sand and blue sky - but then I added these brush strokes and the design of that part was sealed - it's salt and the blue dots are some unspecific farm beast's eyeballs as per the cover of the album Trompe Le Monde

This was my Retro Sci-fi poster I was looking for fonts for - a Fan Art Tour Poster for the Pixies upcoming tour where they're going to play the last two full albums they released before splitting up in the early 90's As someone who only saw three songs by them in their hey day because the gig got stopped half way through and who have only so far heard them play 3 songs in total from these albums despite seeing them live 4 times so far I'm totally stoked to be going to see them on the 20th at Paradiso If you're a Pixies fan then you should spot a few song references to those two albums
