We do realise that installing beta software may be risky and that we should not complain if our vital software throws up bugs. It is tempting to get the latest OS though. I’m sure that all, mentioning problems with AF Photo etc with IPad os 17, do so in case they have not been spotted before (or indeed to confirm behaviour) I am confident that the AF apps will be sorted by the time that the release OS 17 has been published. In the meantime, I for one will be enjoying the new features of the public beta on my iPad Pro while using AF Photo on my iMac which has not been updated

An update to this topic New Mac and iPad OS will offer PDF form functionalities. I’m not sure how good these will be, but they may be enough for 90% of needs. If there is a place for Affinity publisher to get into this facility, then perhaps sooner rather than later AND with an enhanced feature set would be very helpful

I just have to agree with all you have said. I don't want to send my info off to a web site so DocHub is not for me. My need is great, and increasing, as my outdated copy of PDF Office from Readdle is increasingly non functional. This (before it became abandonware) just managed to fill my needs. Ok, it was flaky, but easy to use and kept my data on device. Affinity tend to be tight-lipped about their plans. Lets hope that they are working on a 'cunning plan' Microsoft Word - Ugh!

Yes it would be very nice and another chance to move away from the Adobe orbit. I do suspect that this is not a trivial addition, otherwise it would have been done before now. As the print world recedes for the majority and documents become digital only (we are nearly there I think … for 'casual work' but not glossy paper magazines) then a well designed interactive form is a real need. The workflow of: download a form, print it to paper, complete the fields with ink, scan the paper and email is a slow and inefficient hangover from the past. I am an optimist and the guys at DT keep delivering (maybe for this new year or next Christmas?)

PDF xchange looks good, but it seems to be on the windows platform and not the mac unfortunately. Acrobat would do the job, but I don't like subscription software and would like not to add any more to my outgoings (I do have Lightroom for the DAM side of things though). PDF forms would also be a small part of my software needs (but a desired part)

Thanks for the reply I have just tried adding other images to the page - same result So I then looked at the document setup - it was set to 72dpi - I had imported a template for labels from the web as a pdf. Resetting this to 300dpi and then rescale has sorted out this problem - the hen is sharp once again. I was confused by the fact that it appeared sharp on the screen, but my screen experience was not replicated in print - a basic error!

apologies if this has been covered before, but I can't find anything in faq's etc I am printing out a set of labels - text and a small image graphic. The labels look great on screen. When I print out the page, the text is nice and crisp but the image is blurred - a jpeg of a Maran hen. I've exported to pdf and printed in publisher, but same thing happens. I can sort of reproduce this problem if I change view mode from vector to pixels - the hen is blurred on screen (less so with retina pixels) The solution must be obvious, but I can't see it Thanks for your help

I agree. I have just made a template for A4 14 labels per page in Publisher - to replicate a label that I had created in Labelist (terrible program - crashes all the time) Each label has text, emojis as bullet points and a QR code graphic. All was fine until I tried to insert an emoji - just a blank space/empty box where the emoji should be. Come on Affinity! 2021 already! Even TextEdit can display emojis I do appreciate the work arounds above, but life is too short to faff around
