    Do you mean this?

These dimensions are displayed and snapped only when resizing, not directly when drawing objects.
When drawing, they are displayed and snapped only when Candidate list are enabled (unfortunately but not always).

    P.S. I don't watch tutorial videos - they are in a language I don't understand.

    Yes.

But are you pretty sure that the dimensions are not displayed when drawing objects?

Not really sure. Could you please have a look at the video link I shared in my earlier post??

I'm talking about the green and red dimension guide lines (with arrows).

They are not visible when I'm creating objects like squares. Snapping is to guides is already on.
Can you help figure out what's the issue?

  3. Hi,

I've moved from Corel Draw to Affinity Designer today. In Affinity Designer I'cant find to get the alternate tool of Corel Draw ALIGNEMNT GUIDE while creating any object. Snapping is turned on, but it still doesn't show up. I checked a few videos on youtube and saw the functionality available on Affinity D. But somehow I am unable to get it enabled.

Ref to what I'm saying is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hWJc73Ja2U
If you watch the video from 0:54 secs onwards, while creating 3 identical objects it guides with the measures to create similar sized objects (green guidelines).

How do I enable this in Aff Designer 1.9? What am I missing?
