[How to keep new object selected ? (solved)]

Hello, i can't find an answer in the FAQ to this, and i'm sure i can't be the only one annoyed by this: whenever i create a new object with a shape tool (circle, rectangle…) it is automatically deselected, i have to re-select it by clicking on ti if i want to change the color for example… It won't happen when i create a shape with the pen or pencil tool though… Is there a setting somewhere i'm missing ?
