I solved it:  you need to start a new document first, then the option would be possible to change the interface language.  The option is under "Affinity publisher", not under "Bearbeiten".

the interface is in German  I did translate it, but I don't see anything like "bearbeiten/Einstellungen/allgemein"

How to change the interface language from German into English?

I am currently based in Switzerland and I have purchased the affinity publisher.  The system assumed, that if I am downloading from Germany, I know German, which is not true.  How can I change the setting?
