Thanks to all for your responses. It is a pity that this feature is not supported by Affinity Publisher. I found it very helpful when needing to do a moderate amount of editing on the text of the publication - very small edits could be done in the main page of Page Plus while extensive edits were best done before importing to the text from Word into Page Plus. I am wondering if Affinity Publisher has the same handy feature that Serif Page Plus did - the text editor invoked by Control E? Thankss
