  1. Brilliant! I just figured it out. If I use the contour tool I can convert to shape that way. Thanks for your help everybody!
  2. @Old Bruce Thank you for your reply! My problem here is I know that I can keep the outline on any path I make, But I want to convert the path itself to a shape. OR any way of achieving a similar effect. Many thanks, Jack
  3. @G13RL So I'd like to be able to edit the nodes of it, but I'd like the outline to be part of the new shape. I tried rasterising and tracing it, but it is never 100% accurate. and I also tried rescaling the original shape, but ideally i'd like the proportions of the shape with the outline added. I'm sorry i'm struggling to explain! I hope you understand. Many thanks Jack
  4. @G13RL This is actually very helpful for me since I didn't know this but it isn't exactly what I meant. I want to be able to use the node tool to edit the points on the outline FX layer.
  5. Thank you for your reply @firstdefence, I'm much more confident with photo than designer, but I don't understand why it's a raster effect, I can zoom into it without losing any quality. Would there be any other ways to achieve the same effect? I really would love to separate the outline layer from the shape. Many thanks, Jack
  6. Is there anyway to convert the outline I have made under the Effects Panel to a shape? Many thanks Jack
  7. Also, It might be worth mentioning I do have access to Adobe illustrator, just choose to use affinity software, so if there is a way i can export these swatches via illustrator this is also a possibility.
  8. Hello, today i've been trying to get my UV printer working at work. The printer is a mimaki, so I have to use mimaki software to print my affinity files. To do this, we must export our files as EPS. Supposedly, Our printer uses colour swatches to override the EPS file, for example, we'd use a white swatch called "RawWhite" to print our white as a base layer. However, the swatches given to us is an .ai file and cannot be opened in photo or designer. I tried making a swatch of my own with the name "RawWhite" to run, however, the printer doesn't recognise this. So what I am thinking is; 1. Possibly affinity doesnt export Swatch names when exporting as an EPS, 2. I need to maybe convert the .ai swatch file into something affinity can recognise. If anyone could help this would be VERY much appreciated. Thanks
