Spell check great problem

Epilogue So, the (my) spell checker also works in Swedish from now on. Just as it should and really has done all along. The error, which was not really an error in the SW, but rather a handling error, was that the pointer that shows where languages and dictionaries are located, pointed to a library that did not exist. And it did so because someone (me) had written it at some point. It was undoubtedly I who did it in version 1.xx in the belief that you would enter the folder containing the library and other files. I did not get it workings that time and when I updated to 2.0, the path came with it. So, the fault was mine and only mine all the way and the one who finally solved the knot was Walt Farrell. Two or three other users got involved in my problems and contributed with several good ideas. Many thanks to those of you who strengthened a helping hand that ultimately led to a perfect solution. I am very grateful and if you had lived in Gothenburg, it would have been a good dinner as a thank you. The error was thus completely mine in that I incorrectly entered a path that included the name of a language folder (se-FI) in the path. Many thanks for your dedication and good mood. I would like to do that but I cant find the sv-FI folder. As you can se from the screen dump above, there are no "sv-FI folder in the system, but still it show in the TOOL menu. Really strange but maybe that is the root to my problem ... -

One question, I got the German SW Textmaker (Softmaker) that also use Hunspell as spelling engine Is it possible that there are some interference between them? -

You was right about the name. For some reason the name change when I copied it. But now it should be OK: But still the same not working mode. There are something really weird in the system because it start without me doing anything with locking for the language "sv_FI" ?! And also when I hit "Open" under "TOOLS" menu - noting happen. -

OK, I did rename the folder to sv_SE (with underscore) but the result are still the same. I did restart the program as well. We are running v 2.0? / L -

Thanks a lot for the help! But the result is still the same with resulting in as usual. Your files was a bit bigger than the ones I've been trying. Actually, I have been trying with different versions of the dictionary files already. The simple file I use when testing is "Språktest", but also I've been trying longer (like 16 page info paper) with the same result. Just to clarify, your file shod copy like this - right? Any way, I'm really grateful to any help that may solve the problem. The walk around is a really long walk - so to say. // Lars Språktest.afpub -

Good day First, I must say that the new series 2.0 is really a big step forward. An already very good software package has become even better. Stretch up all of you developers of Affinity – you've done a fantastic job!! But there is one thing that worries me. After spending like four full days and late nights making the spell checker work, I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried absolutely everything I can think of, after reading what many others have done, but no, it doesn't work. I've been using Publisher 1.xx for some time and liked it for almost everything even if the spell checker didn't work there either. But then came 2.0 and I downloaded it for 30 days of free trial and the opportunity to buy the entire series at a greatly reduced price. It was good but I couldn’t get the spelling couldn't going despite many different attempts. However, the file structure was similar to v 1.xx with the programs under "program file" on C:. I read about the Danish person who put the spell check under " Dictionaries" in that part and thought it should work with Swedish as well. And since I'm retired with limited resources when I work completely voluntarily with materials for stroke information and research fundraising, different form of help to Ukraine and more, I wanted to take the opportunity to upgrade when the price was affordable. But it didn't go the way I intended. I started the upgrade by deleting absolutely all the Affinity material I had on my computer (paid versions of Publisher & Paint 1.xx and trial versions of 2.0). Next, I ran programs to clean the computer from garbage of all kinds so that it was a well-functioning and "clean" computer. The computer has a pretty now i7 CPU, very good 4 GB graphics, 64 GB of RAM & 1 TB + of SSD memory). System with one of my assistants! So, I bought the new package 2.0 at the very nice price offer and started Publisher, I loaded a short test file with some Swedish text and found that when I checked the language (without marking anything in the document it said like this (note - I had not done anything at all): What "sv-FI" comes from, I don't know. When I marked a point in the document, it show: "en-SE" is basically correct as well as there is no language installed. So, I tried to install Swedish as it says in the instructions but it was impossible. When I pressed "open", nothing happened except that the button changed shade a little. See: The model I was hoping for was the one that the Danish customer described in customer support where he put the new files under the program files and .... Dictionaries. But it didn't work out because the "sharp" version I bought has a different file structure from the trial. So, I manually added a library “sv-SE” and the copied the correct files to it like this: But that didn't work. The system behaved like it wasn't there at all. Maybe it would be sv_SE instead of sv-SE, I thought and tried it too. Like this: But that didn't work either. I get the same old message every time: I've really spent a great amount of time on this, several whole days and nights now and am getting pretty tired of it. Really - can't you guys make a fix that works to this problem? I'm really sad that such an amazingly good software system falls on this relatively simple thing. What shall I do? Sincerely LK from Sweden
