John, you rock! Thank you! I knew it had to be something simple like that. No such buttons in Photoshop.

Probably the simplest question ever posted on these forums, but I haven't been able to find an answer for it yet. I want to select multiple areas on one layer at the same time. In photoshop I could just hold down the shift key in combination with any of the selection tools, and select any number of additional areas I wanted. What's the trick in Affinity? Doesn't seem like Shift, Alt, or Ctrl work.
