  1. Another "bit of a cliche" shot. The light was amazing though. Again probably improve it with a crop
  2. Done a few of these HDRs now, all new to me this stacking thing - this one is fun in a slightly disorienting way, havent managed to fix the purple fringing yet, might just crop it
  3. Awesome, thanks for the reply - now I understand a bit more of what's going on, dont have a camera that clever
  4. Hello folks Mostly I shoot RAW and am keen user of DSLR and primes Have been learning my way round Affinity for a couple of weeks now (having migrated from another software). Mostly I am interested in the HDR / stacking type capabilities as my digital darkroom activities has been pretty minimal / traditional so far UK based my day job is digital transformation / user centred digital design, image making is a hobby. Run a small UX / UR agency - so far Affinity is "doing okay" in terms of its design
  5. I have seen high res astro images made from multiple images (even video) and am trying to do something similar. Shooting in RAW I can make 10+ images of a scene really easily, but I cant figure the stacking workflow to improve resolution of the final image Using Astro stacking doesnt seem to create an image better than a single shot, though I could be doing it wrong
  6. What specs are you running? I have a similar question, have put Affinity on an old machine to play/learn - it runs but very laggy (and crashed a few times) if I have too many images open at once. Mostly I shoot RAW and like doing HDR so thats kind of demanding This device is c10 years old with low spec i3 M380 and 4GB of memory (mostly the kids use for the internet) but with a modern SSD drive. I think low memory is my issue, esp with HDRs PS - you say you are running Win7 x64, is that on an OEM machine (ie did the device come with Win 7 installed)? If so you can probably move to Win10 for free, that's what I did with this old laptop
