I'm having the same issue and I'm fairly new to the design world i wont lie, I'm struggling to understand how to get around the issue too, i only use affinity because i refuse to use adobes subscription and i had to get a new computer and couldn't get my old cs5 working again. Am i best for the time being asking around for people to send me the bits i need even though its highly highly irritating?
