  1. Hey @Dan C, Thanks for looking into this. I'm experiencing different behavior than your are when zooming out. I have the Move Tool selected and use the same keys as you... Zooming out on page 1 works as expected. Zooming out on any other page (page 2 or after) produces the issue β€” I'm taken further down in the document rather than zooming at the cursor position. The further down I am in the document when zooming out, the larger the jump β€” i.e., in my recording you'll see my first click to zoom out on page 3 takes me to page 4; my first click on page 6 takes me to page 8... and each subsequent click takes me further down. 2021-06-07 Affinity Publisher Zoom Out Issue.m4v Let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks much.
  2. I often have to zoom out in order to drag a ruler guide off the page. It would be great if a ruler guide could be deleted by dragging it to the ruler.
  3. @GarryP Totally agree... it's good to have choices to accomplish things in the way that's best for each of us. Thanks for letting me know about tagging staff β€” I removed it. Someone recommended I tag a staff member in another one of my posts... I'm still learning how things work in here.
  4. Should my post be moved to the Bugs forum or does zoom out work as intended in Affinity Publisher? Thanks.
  5. Thanks for your input @GarryP. I changed AP to Affinity Publisher in my post. I find the spacebar option for zoom more convenient than the Ctrl+= / Ctrl+- because it allows me to keep my hand on the mouse and quickly zoom without disrupting my workflow. I'm new to Affinity apps. When I used Adobe apps, I was able to use the spacebar keyboard shortcut to zoom even when editing text. In Adobe, the spacebar doesn't have to be pressed first β€” pressing the keys in the sequence <key>+Spacebar-click enables zoom while editing text rather than typing a bunch of spaces. This is a feature I really miss in Affinity.
  6. I'm on a PC and use the zoom hot key keyboard shortcuts. In Affinity Publisher, Zoom in (Spacebar+Ctrl-click) works as expected, but zoom out (Spacebar+Alt-click) zooms to the next page in the document... each time I click I'm taken further down the pages in the document. Anybody know if this is intended behavior or if there's an issue or something I can change in settings? Thanks.
  7. That sounds logical. I was thinking if the image was larger it would be reduced in size more on the site, possibly making pixilation less apparent... although resizing reduces image quality too so my reasoning is probably completely off.
  8. Just to make sure we're on the same page, you're saying the quality of the JPG image that's exported from AD is satisfactory? If the loss in quality is happening when the file is uploaded to the website, I'm not sure what you can do... I think you're at the mercy of the site and how it compresses image uploads. You could try increasing the file size. I'm just taking a stab in the dark... I don't know why that would help, but maybe worth a try.
  9. Is the JPG image quality satisfactory before it’s uploaded to the website? I think websites that provide the option to upload images typically compress the file, which reduces quality. Have you tried saving the image as a PNG instead of JPG to see if that makes a difference?
  10. I'm guessing moving a thread can only be done by a moderator, correct? @loukash any idea how I can request a moderator move this thread?
  11. Thanks for the correction @loukash. It doesn't work for me on Windows.
  12. I wish the Color Chooser modal window remembered the location I moved it to when I last used it like the Layer Effects modal window does. The Color Chooser modal window always appears in the center of the screen β€” most often, the first thing I have to do after opening the Color Chooser is move the modal window so it's not covering up the section of the image I'm working on.
  13. The blue border around Frame Text can be hidden by disabling View > Show Text Flow or enabling View > Preview Mode. Give one of those a try and see if it resolves the issue you're having.
  14. Do you have Scrubby Zoom enabled? Preferences > Tools, enable Use 'scrubby' zoom. I'm not sure if that's the issue, but something to check.
  15. Agree. I really miss having the ability (available in Photoshop and Illustrator) to Alt-click (Mac Option-click) a group to open it and all the nested groups within it.
