Hi :-) I'm new to affinity publisher, but I just came across a similar problem. I opened a PDF in affinity and all the spaces were gone. When I opened a previous version in a .afpub version it was fine... I updated the document. Then my boss asked me to change the font and when I changed the font all the spaces were gone.... Thank you for your help!!
