  1. Problems arise, if when first creating a new setup in 300 dpi or 400 dpi, one tries to later change the document to 600 dpi for sharp printing of text. Therefore, initial set-up must be established as a 600 dpi file. Affinity programs Version 2 Mac mini M1 chip, Ventura 13.5.2
  2. Thanks Mike, I had thought of that possibility with the printer driver. However, while aware of how the Canon Multi-function Printer rasterizes text, I am puzzled why simpler programs such as Apple Pages prints sharp text from my Mac mini M1 Desktop. Will send scans later if you require. Regards, Greg
  3. V1 & V2 Affinity Publisher, Photo and Designer seem to have a problem with printing text matter as sharp as can be done using a simple word program. Even converting to curves produces uneven thickness in typefaces when printing with an expensive postscript laser printer.
  4. Thanks Patrick. It looks like there is reasonable leeway to use 1.9.1 in my MacBook Pro, judging by the "Tech Specs". We shall see how things go. I could reinstall 1.9 if speed affected. I assume that I am able to download 1.9 in the future if required -- is this correct? 1.9.1 appears to have fixed some bugs, judging by posted information with update, so I shall use it. If I need the latest effects, like dust, snow, etc., my iPad will create image, then I can transfer to MacBook Pro for final composition.
  5. Dear Patrick, Is there any disadvantage in using Infinity Photo 1.9.1 update in a MacBook Pro mid-2009 Desktop, apart from not being able to use special effects, such as snow, etc.? Would the functionality be affected -- like speed of operation? Regards, Greg
