As far as i know currently there's no way on iPad to load a selection from a layer as the desktop version.

Newbie: The "To selection on the context toolbar on bottom". I see no context toolbar (what is it anyway), and thus, also not the "to selection". Thanks for giving a more teaspoon explanation.

Tap and hold whatever layer (let's say an image) you want to place inside the text in the Layers panel until a small blue horizontal line appears, then drag it over the text layer to use the text object as a clipping layer.

No blue horizontal line appears. What are the set of possible causes for that to not happen?

Exactly what I am looking for. BUT: Where is the toolbar you have? I dont have it, or I don@t find it. Affinity photo. Also, is this a image or a pixel layer? I need it for pixel layer
