No, I reverted my display drivers back to the previous version of the Radeon drivers. It'll be a little annoying to update and have to lose the hardware acceleration but at least I know what's causing it. Now if only I could get it not to crash.
I've just checked AMD's site, and 21.5.2 (21st June 2021) does appear to be the latest driver for your card. I would suggest contacting AMD's support, or filing a bug report with them. It looks like they have a tool for this - https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/amdbrt

Thanks! Are you still experiencing crashes? The log file indicates the app started and closed OK - did you disable hardware acceleration to prevent the crashes? Or is this log file from after you reverted your drivers?

Thanks @GWitchy - I can confirm that your AMD OpenCL driver (amdocl64.dll) is crashing. Could you attach your log file from %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\Log.txt too please?

Hi @Toiletwitch, do you have any crash reports in %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports ?
Do you have the latest graphics drivers installed?

1GB of RAM use is very low. Performance will suffer if you're doing heavy editing, as it'll be trying to discard as much memory as possible to stay under that 1GB limit.

The software requires a DirectX10 compatible graphic card in order to run, but we have been able to fallback to a software implementation in order to continue running. Please be aware, the program will not run at optimal speed without a more recent graphic card.
As my computer is build into the monitor and I am out of touch these days. Is it still possible to replace the graphic card. Or does this mean I have to buy a new computer just for one software that is not compatible.
As I have had this computer bran new of late 2020 as so was me buying the software.
Many Thanks for and info and help would be grate at this time. As this software is easer to use than Photoshop.

Hi Claire, your graphics card should be good enough (any card in the last 8 years should be fine). Have you made sure that you have the latest graphics drivers installed?

@marcus1070, thanks for the crash report. I can see that you have something called "Topaz OFD" installed (possibly something to do with Brazilian banking?). I would suggest you try uninstalling this software, and then seeing if you can start the Affinity apps.
