  1. Can you give me a screenshot of your benchmark dialog? I know you posted one in the Benchmarks thread, but that didn't include the GPU result (guessing you didn't enable Hardware Acceleration in Preferences at that point).
  2. I've had a go at reproducing here, and I'm struggling so far. Do you think it could be related to a specific document or tool? If so, could you share it?
  3. OK - that means your graphics driver didn't ship the OpenCL driver, so in this case, there is nothing we can do, sorry. You could see if there is a later driver for the card from the card manufacturer.
  4. @Michail, do you have the following file, "C:\Windows\System32\OpenCL.dll" ?
  5. Check out the benchmark thread for info on what other people are getting. With regards to WARP, it should never be faster than hardware. Don't forget, the renderer is only for displaying the document to the screen, so it doesn't really do much work.
  6. Click here to download the latest beta Status: Customer Beta Purpose: Features, Improvements, Fixes Requirements: A valid product key (for Affinity Store purchases), or an installation of the full retail version from the Microsoft Store As this is a beta it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that may be adversely affected by the application failing, including the total loss of any documents. We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post a new thread in this forum and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback. If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum. Fixes Fixed crash / hang at startup when OpenCL.dll is not installed 1.9.0.733 release notes

  8. Hi @AiDon, the retail versions are hosted on locations throughout the world to increase download speeds. The betas are hosted in the US, so may not be as quick, depending on the connection. Hopefully in the future we can improve the beta locations too, but for now, this is an issue between your ISP and Amazon in the US I guess.
  9. @prof_b, interesting suggestion - we have the reverse available, copying SVG text and pasting into the application pastes an image.
  10. > however that sounds an awful lot like "user having to go in and configure some UI scale that is specific to each application". Yes - I thought that's what you were asking for 😉 > should we really be forced into reconfiguring our entire systems No. You just accept the default, recommended scale that is provided for you, by the system. No configuring required - that's what we're aiming for here. A user should not be required to start our application, find the options, and then tweak the appearance to get it to a satisfactory level. It should just work. My default stance is: If Application X does not scale it's user interface, according to the OS provided system setting, that is a bug in Application X. It should not become the burden of other applications who _do_ scale their user interface correctly, to provide work arounds of the OS setting. I'm happy for the feedback and suggestion to be made, and be discussed 🙂
  11. > Windows scales them forcefully into a double pixel size You can override this (or disable it completely) on a per-application basis by going to the Compatibility tab on the application shortcut's properties. More info is here - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15078/windows-10-make-older-apps-or-programs-compatible
  12. OK - the "new from clipboard" part is probably the interesting bit here. I assume you can load a document normally etc? What happens when you create a new document, then paste into it?
  13. Hi Hadrien, if it makes other programs render incorrectly, perhaps that's a bug report that you should raise with them? > This thing should be handled at the program level I disagree, I think there should be consistency across all applications on a user's system. Programs should "just work" without the user having to go in and configure some UI scale that is specific to each application. Especially considering that the recommend display scale is automatically selected for you by Windows when you connect a new device.

  16. What was the problem? Was there a colour profile that you had to remove? Can you tell us what it was?
