  1. Hi Highvoltage, I've tried your document, and not had any problems with it. Do you have any applications installed which could be interfering with your mouse clicks? https://youtu.be/iIauEf85ZHs
  2. There was a bug a while ago that led to autosave files not being removed, which has since been fixed, so it would be good to delete those old files, and see if any autosave files are left in the future.
  3. Highvoltage, can you attach the document you are using so I can try it here? Also, let me know which groups you were CTRL-clicking on. I've tried with some of our samples and haven't spotted a problem so far.
  4. I've put a hopeful fix in for this in the next build (1.5.0.19, should be out today all being well), let me know how you get on!
  5. Hi, I just tried to reproduce this, and can confirm that when I expanded the "creature" layer, and then scrolled down, the application stopped responding. We'll get this looked at. Thanks for your report(s).
  6. They should be removed after the next successful run. You should be prompted to either restore or discard these autosaves (so in theory, after a successful run, that directory should be empty).
  7. Do you have another monitor hooked up to your Surface Pro 3?
  8. It works fine on the Surface Pro 4. I'll try to put in a pre-emptive fix, as I can't actually reproduce it here.
  9. OK, it's not a Surface 3, it's a Surface 4, but I'm trying it anyway...
  10. I think we've discussed this issue on another thread somewhere else, but if you hold the mouse button down for longer than 250ms, it will think you're starting a drag, so will clone the objects if you have CTRL held.
  11. Please refer to the Affinity Designer is not Affinity Photo thread.
  12. OK, interesting, we have a Surface 3 here so I will test it on that. For you it crashes if you use the View menu, or you scroll with CTRL + mouse? What about pinch to zoom on the screen?
  13. Thanks for the crash dumps. I can see where the crash occurred, but I'm struggling to reproduce it! What documents did you create? Just a normal A4 page? What units did you use? What monitors and screen resolutions do you have?
  14. It turns out my statement was wrong! The macOS version does indeed support Type 1 fonts, so we will add support to the Windows version as well. Keep an eye on the changelists in the coming weeks.
  15. Hi Elliot, I don't think your crash report has arrived on our servers. Could you take a look in the following directory for me, and upload the latest file to this thread? %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports\
  16. You should have been prompted to open those files the next time you start Designer. On a clean close of the application, it should remove those old autosaves.
  17. Hi, this has been posted by MattP before, but the SVG export is designed to be visually accurate, but not necessarily compact. We will continue to make improvements in the area, especially following reports like this.
  18. You should definitely have had an autosave file that you could have reverted back to. That sounds like a bug. Just out of interest, can you check your autosave interval for me? Go to Edit | Preferences | Performance, and look at the "File Recovery Interval".
  19. There is a log file at %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta), but it's pretty sparse right now, you won't find anything relevant in there. The Windows system logs might have more information.
  20. The only thing network related that Designer does is contact a server to find out if there is an update available. This won't be causing the problems you've described. Perhaps a driver update for your network card is causing all network related applications to hang?
  21. The autosave works with unsaved files as well as saved filed. It should prompt you to restore the autosave if the application crashed. If it didn't, this is a bug that needs looking at (assuming you worked for more than 5 minutes in the previous file).
  22. Yes, by default it saves every 5 minutes, but you can change that in Preferences. Did you get a crash reference when you re-started the application?
  23. We don't delete those files each time, but we did use a new folder name a few versions ago, so this is probably what you're seeing.
