Hi, we've managed to reproduce a similar crash here, and have fixed it for the next version (1.5.0.22). Hopefully this should solve the problem for you. Keep a look out on the forum for the next version today or tomorrow.

Also, can you try plugging your tablet in and seeing if that fixes it?

Hi, I've taken a look at the crash report, and it's crashing in Pen_Tablet.dll which is provided by Wacom. Can you tell me the model / version of your Wacom Bamboo, and also which driver version you have installed?

The file is in the current user's %APPDATA% so we have full write access in there (we write lots of files in there that are required by the application).

You just need to enable Aero, as the message indicated when you started the application. The beta won't run with Aero disabled.

Thanks for the report, I should be able to fix this for the next release. In the meantime, running the application as Administrator may help (Right-click, "Run as administrator").

Hi, I can't find your crash report in our database, is there any chance you can attach it to this thread? It should be in the following location: %APPDATA%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports\ (I'm assuming you're using version 1.5.0.21?)

You need .NET framework 4.6.2, but that should be installed via the installer.

Hi tro, I've looked at the crash, and it appears to be a message from Pen_Tablet.dll, which is a dll installed by Wacom. I can only assume it's a crash in their driver, though I have no idea why it would crash in version 19, and not version 18.

Use the Affinity macOS betas so that you can open them (you can use the beta alongside the purchased version).

That won't rule out another piece of software running, as system services will (normally) run for all users.
