  1. We add SVG to the clipboard in formats that Inkscape and Illustrator can understand (as well as PDF). We would need to know what clipboard formats Freehand accepted in order to add a compatible format.
  2. Hi Matej, we've just been discussing this and have decided to make the change so that right-clicking a brush will not apply it (or any other object that would have a side effect, e.g. swatches). This won't be available in this week's build, but should be available soon. Thanks again for your feedback.
  3. Does it prompt you to load a recovery file when you restarted? Or did you manually load the file?
  4. Edit in Photo? It will be available when Affinity Photo is available.
  5. We do, most of the time. There are things which affect that though, e.g. some crashes don't seem to get caught so we can't write out the data, sometimes people's internet connection's drop during upload, sometime their firewalls deny the connection, etc. Also, a crash report doesn't give us all the information, it tells us where it crashed, but not how we ended up in that state, so it's often useful to have a reproducible version of the crash. We can then log that and use the recipe to confirm we've actually fixed it.
  6. Thanks Michail, I can reproduce this now, following your video. The bug that we fixed was dragging the popup slider for that control, not the mouse wheel scrolling (I assumed it would fix both parts, but clearly it doesn't). We'll take a look at this and try to sort it out.
  7. We've added some text to the top of the window along the lines of "Loading N document...". This will be in the next version.
  8. And now I have no way of diagnosing the problem . I'm guessing that you enabled the "Show Selection in Layers Panel" option in preferences? As there is a known crash with that if you deselect any object.
  9. Did you get a crash reference the next time you started the application?
  10. Thanks for your crash report, I can't immediately tell what is causing the crash, but I suspect it's due to an unusual mouse wheel scroll value being sent by the Wacom driver. We will try to replicate the same issue here. Can you tell me what Wacom driver version you currently have installed?
  11. I can't reproduce your problem anymore with build 23. The opacity slider is fast, with mouse wheel scrolling, drag sliding, etc. Can you provide a video demonstrating the problem (in build 23)?
  12. Also, with the Mac App Store, there is no way to tell Apple that you have made a purchase of the Windows version, in order to download it for free, so there are technical restrictions too. (Moving to Questions forum)
  13. Hi, yes, we don't support dragging from the document like the macOS version.
  14. Click here to download the latest beta Status: Public Beta Purpose: Stability Requirements: None As this is a beta release, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is worth noting that files created in Affinity 1.5 cannot be opened in 1.4, which means files created with the Windows beta cannot be opened in the Mac AppStore version of Designer, instead you will need the latest macOS beta. We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback. If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum. 15. Hi, it's the Platform Update for Service Pack 1 that is required, not just Service Pack 1. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/2670838
  16. 1. In Preferences | User Interface you can adjust the UI Gamma to lighten the UI. Unfortunately there will be no light UI scheme for version 1.x. 2. We are fully DPI aware (my current laptop is 4K, and uses 250% zoom in Windows, my work Desktop is also 4K, but slightly larger, and uses 200% zoom) and scale correctly across all monitors. This is the best way of scaling the application's UI. If your other apps don't scale, that is unfortunately an issue for the developers of those applications.
  17. How is that unbelievable or unacceptable? There are lots of features in 1.5, and they were prioritised higher than arrow heads. If we had added arrow heads at the expense of another feature, chances are, other customers would be calling it unbelievable or unacceptable that their favourite feature wasn't implemented. We are trying hard to add useful features that our customers suggest, but they all take time, and as such some things will be done before others. Sorry you're disappointed.
  18. By disabling Aero, you disable Desktop Window Composition, which reverts to an alternative display driver (effectively rendering your GPU pointless - unless you are running full screen applications, such as games). The beta is for us to discover bugs and performance problems in the product before release, but we know that disabling DWM (i.e. Aero) causes bugs and performance problems (that are out of our hands), so we really don't want to spend our time trying to investigate problems when it turns out it's due to this alternative display driver. The original beta didn't require Aero because I didn't put the check in until later (after we discovered these problems).
