  1. Hi, it sounds like you might have a problem with your internet connection. There shouldn't be any problems downloading the latest beta from the link in the post at the start of this thread.
  2. "Use Precise Clipping" is only a draw-time optimisation, and has no effect during export (when exporting to raster formats it will always precisely clip, for vector formats it depends on the application doing the viewing, as it's a draw-time thing).
  3. We do have that functionality, unfortunately it got broken in the most recent release. We'll be sure to fix it soon!
  4. Hi Kathryn, this is the forum for the Windows beta, you may have more luck with your thumbnail issue in the General forums :)
  5. Did you try clicking the link in the error message? The message is telling you it can't find Platform Update for Windows, which is required to install it.
  6. Hi, there aren't any changes that could have caused this, and no-one else has reported a problem like this. Is it an existing project? Have you added any new items to the project? Have you done anything else to your machine in the last week? Any Windows Updates? New software installations? When was the last time you rebooted?
  7. This only affects Windows 7 users because in Windows 8 and above, DWM is always enabled (users cannot disable it as it's a Core service).
  8. Hi Chris, do you have a high DPI monitor? It sounds like what you're seeing is the non-retina document render, followed by the retina document render. The preview of the brush nozzle actually affects the rendering of the document, so it causes a redraw.
  9. You can change the visible number of decimal places in the Preferences, or you can explicitly type in an angle in the Transform Panel.
  10. Do you get a crash reference when you restart the application?
  11. It only affects applications which perform colour conversion from document colour profile to monitor colour profile. The Plus products didn't do this (by default). If you try it with Photoshop you'll notice you also get a yellow document rather than white.
  12. Arun, unrelated to your post, but it looks like you've got a corrupt ICC profile attached to your monitor (that's probably why your document is yellow and not white). In Windows Colour Management, change the current profile to sRGB and it should fix it.
  13. Click here to download the latest beta Status: Release Candidate 2 Purpose: Stability Requirements: None As this is a beta release, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is worth noting that files created in Affinity Designer 1.5 cannot be opened in Affinity Photo 1.4, which means that although files created with the Windows beta can be opened in the Mac AppStore version of Designer (currently on 1.5.1) they cannot be opened in the latest Mac App Store versions Affinity Photo, instead you will need the latest macOS 1.5 beta. We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback. If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum. 14. This will be fixed in RC2 - https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/26503-affinity-designer-public-beta-rc1-15025-windows/page-2&p=128296
  15. This is the same issue as - https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/26578-ad-crashes-when-mask-selection/ It will be fixed in RC2.
  16. Thanks for the report, file and crash report. I've looked into this and I can reproduce it easily. Enable "Show Selection in Layers Panel" New document Add a rectangle Click "Mask Layer" on Layers Panel
  17. If you have a document selection and a pixel selection it will delete the document selection first, then the pixel selection. Try deselecting your object first.
