LOL. With all the other horrible aberrations I've experienced including over 35 crashes in 2 days, and not being able to embed files in one program or "not Link" files before the program crashes, I just thought it was another problem! I checked and these are NOT checked. So go figure. I have a track pad and was zooming in and out, but I don't know why it worked when I had it unchecked! THANKS. I just closed the program and went back in.

What? My pages are upside down? The ruler is backwards? This is crazy. off pub beta 1024 AFTER my 1.9.1 version locked up and won't open. AFTER I linked two images instead of embedding files. Now I can't open the original and the beta looks like this!@@ This is the second install after I zipped the original and the 1st beta and put them temporarily in the trash instead of applications. All my assets are gone all my presets gone. All my fonts missing. What is happening with your programs. I am over 10 days into watching crashes. 25 of them yesterday, more today. And NOW this. Good grief. ANY ideas, ANYONE??? And why the gray lined separating one of my afpub files in the OPEN recent dialogue ( see picture) The top one crashes before I can unlink the resource. Excellent description of various steps. I was thankful I saved a copy before I tried the first option, because I didn't understand it was destructive. THANKS. Great addition with all the photos, too.

SAME identical problems. Same timeline. Now my program just crashes and crashes and won't stay open. same operating system. i just unchecked those icloud preferences. And am restarting my computer. I have beta and 1.91 . Everything worked brilliantly in 1.8.6 and I am horrified at the crashing now. over 25 times yesterday and I can't get in to either version. I tried downloading the old 1.8.6 and it says it can't find teh file

EXactly For 10 days, trying to upload a doc to KDP, they keep telling me all the odd sizes of my PDF's . Today I took a video of the crazy weirdness. THE LOCK aspect ratio is NOT locked . It doesn't stay locked and yet you can change one value of the 4 dimensions and the other 3 boxes' values change automatically to strange numbers. Each export the number change. AND each bleed, page size or spread size randomly fixes some pages, but not all, even when clicking ALL spreads or trying to change the margins or bleed with the lock. So 10 days of troubleshooting blaming KDP, it is AFFINITY PUblisher and now my program won't run without immediately crashing no matter what I do. I wish I could upload the video here.

Where are the instructions to uninstall and reinstall? ALSO, will I lose my entire asset library?

PDF export issues and problems. 1. Random size export: the exact same afpub file exported multiple times after changes made in a few pages. File is saved before export. File is exported as Press Ready with BLEED option ticked. (Can't get bleed option without using press ready) 6x9 page size with bleed yielded 6.125 x 9.3, 6.38x9.25, 6.2x9.3, etc. I have about 8 different file sizes and KDP will not accept any of them. 1A. Set Doc as page, Type as Print Press ready (Also tried as Print), Set page preset : left as custom, Dimensions 6.125x9.25 inches, portrait.. CHECKED ALL SPREADS. NOTE: press ready option kept auto defaulting to print, had to manually check press ready. 1B. Tried exporting PDF with new preset, as PDF no bleed 6.125x9.25 (so that it might TRICK the PDF to include the size for print. THEN tried uploading to KDP WITH BLEED. Settings in Affinity. unchecked bleed. Compatibility PDF 1.7 1C. same as 1B, but compatibility changed to PDF x4 2. I tried to resize the document to 6.125x9.25. Locked the size aspect. tried to export that size without bleed. but could not use the press ready option. 2A in addition, it messed up every other page. I had grouped items on the pages. 2B. I went back to previous setting and it just got worse. I backed out by hitting undo. STILL. never could get back to original file. Thankfully I had made a copy first. This was over 20 hours. I took a video of the margins, bleed, page and spread sizes RANDOMLY changing while under the LOCK aspect ratio. It's like one of the pop-up weasel games. Hit one, and another one pops up. INSANE 3. I tried to resize and create a PDF with NO BLEED. and the option was grayed out. (found a similar issue as a topic, but wanted to post my issue in a new thread. KDP won't accept any of the 10 or so version I exported from an original 6x9 size. 4. I wrote this early today and hadn't sent it . NOW> NOW the whole program crashes over 15 times now. I can't use this. I am mortified. I have 3 books to publish and KDP won't accept the ones from this program, but I did 4 of them with NO TROUBLES last fall. I am sending the 15 crash reports to apple. I am sending them to affinity support. BUT I need to know what to do. Yes I've read the FAQ's 4A. My asset library is huge. I spent over 150-200 hours populating it so I didn't have to go find photos and artwork. 4B. I have over 15 books in partial formatting and 3 of them are overdue for publishing and I can't get a consistent output as a PDF to the exact size. If I reinstall the program, do I lose my asset library entirely? How do I do this? Someone please have mercy and help. I am 10 days into a nightmare.

Today Crashes #6-15 logged and sent to APPLE. And it randomly changes my margins even though they are supposed to BE LOCKED! Seriously, I've spent over 100 hours trying to fix./repair/force measurements to stay put until I can get my 150 page manuscript ready for export. ALL exports are different measurements. ALL are not acceptable for KDP. This was NEVER a problem before the update. NEVER. I can't even get into the program any longer. It just keep crashing. This is unacceptable . Who had the old installer. Same. I uploaded pdfs to KDP and was approved for 4 different uploads. NOW, the PDF export yields random variations in output. For example. Crashing files were sent to Apple, but when a 6x9" document with bleed comes out exported as a 6.385x9.6 IT makes no sense. Next export. no changes, it comes out 6.2x9.25 then 6.125x9.3 etc. KDP rejects my PDF repeatedly and I need this to work for my business. I have orders waiting and can't get the uploads to work because of this error issue. So far I have 3 crash reports. Who wanted them?
