id it with blurb in Lightroom in 10 minutes

I used indesign without any problem would you say that indesign is not pro ?
nearly all Affinity users went from Adobe , but Affinity is nearly like the Gimp , cheap but a mess to use

If you don't know how things work>learn >where to find >manual.
(Or try the yellow pages)
Good luck with your phonebook.as I said the manual should be used only for details or very special features, if it is impossible to create a simple book directly without any manual then the software is not good

Question 1,2,3: read the manual.
Question 4: no.reading manual means that it is not intuitive at all, even for indesign I could manage it at once without any manual
no template means it sucks much more than I thought
thanks

photobook of course (auto correction sucks)
you are right the workflow is intuitive nearly everywhere but not with affinity
I bought all affinity software when adobe went for subscription and now I bought a year subscription again for adobe because affinity is not there at all

I am trying to create a phonebook with affinity publish V2 on Mac , have already done a few books with pixum , Saal-digital, blurb, they are all intuitive and easy to use
If I try a photobook with affinity it is a mess to use, where is the cover ? where are the pages ? how can I add directly 100 pages ?
how can it be less intuitive to use
is there any A3 book template to download ?
thanks

Here we go with the misinformation again.
take a png and convert it into WEBP JPG JXL AVIF and you will see by your own, even with more. compression JXL is heavier
and stop talking nonsense
-
there is nothing wrong to do , converting is easy, avif is definitively the best format, i have tried all kind of compression s and AVIF is always better

Please check real tests and comparisons before posting misinformation.
I have converted about 250 png (many times different settings) into , JPG ,AVIF, WEBP JXL , JXL is definitely not interesting fo internet even with more compression it's much more heavy than AVIF
before opening your mouth do your own tests
-
Why is JXL supported and not AVIF ?
JXL is 2 or 3 times heavier than AVIF

its crazy not to be able to open a simple PDF on ipad pro !
-
as I said I am in the very first users , and bought always at once their new products for osx and ipad
for sure i was already registered but I cannot remember
-
I am maybe already registered as Ive got the very first version of affinity , it was the first beta I think, but impossible to remember with which email
new registration done
thanks
-
the 1.9 will come in the app store, i can wait
thank you
-
ok thanks
then Ill wait for the official 1.9 version on apple store , i dont want to make things more complicated with 2 licences for the same product -
I bought all from Apple Store, Id like to find my licence , i have already one (5 : 3 for mac and 2 for ipad)
isnt it the same ? a licence is a license
-
I have already a registered product Affinity photo , designer and publisher
when I install photo 1.9 beta I am ask to register my account , where do i find it if Ive got Affinity on the apple store ?

batch , macro, export persona ...
Thanks to allI give up
be back in 5 years -
Everybody who makes pictures for websites needs several dimensions, it's a very basic task.
If Affinity Photo can't do it with a macro in a simple way, it means Affinity is not a Professional tool.
I paid for nothing. -
Affinity is not ready ... too many things are missing
-
Thanks carl
I find this very complicated for a basic task but ill give it a try -
thank you but can you save and run later the batch for all the photos in a folder, I do that job very often and I want to run this automaticly
and I dont find the way to generate 3 files from the original one and export them in 3 different folders , or rename them differently : file-1x.jpg, file-2x.jpg, file-3x.jpg,
[SOLVED] affinity publisher wtf ? thanks to Lightroom
in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Posted
I need a book or a calendar one time to time I am not an editor, a software needs templates for using it directly and easily And advanced feature for pro or advanced users
Affinity Publisher is not there at all , I'm going back to Adobe after having been in the very first affinity users ... and Affinity has no Lightroom replacement
i stop following this topic
thanks to all
