PRESETS AND PRESET WHITE BALANCE NOT ACTIVE

as lepr pointed out, the tiff wa created in a different ap and has zero processing other than exporting as a 16 bit tif file. that is exactly how the file looks when opened in imaging edge as a RAW file with no processing. much like if you process a file in 16bit photo persona, then change the document to 32bit hdr, the adjustments effects change, oftens time leading to more saturation/ more effect or in some cases loss of functionality. simple observation based suggested solution.

Is it possible to put Develop Persona into 16Bit instead of 32bit Float?
-
that's right thomaso, and that's what im wondering if it's possible to change. sony image viewer and narrative select both of which i use to cull my images, opens the files without the blue lights clipping. previously some muppet tried to suggest that sony is doing some proprietary algorithm to correct but i highly doubt that. since narrative select which is sorta new i think is also able to view it with no clipping im actually suspecting now that maybe both RAW viewers are just opening the RAW files in a 16bit working space instead of 32bit float. i also suspect that cause whenever you export things in 32bit all the adjustments and layers behave differently, often times oversaturating thing with just +1 in an adjustment; furthermore all fullframes i know of only shoot 14-16bit RAW so 32bit is overkill either way is what im thinking. am I wrong?

is there a way to put the develop persona into a 16bit mode/ colour space? this seems to solve the issue with the over saturated blues that i have on images with blue lights. when i convert my raw file to 16bit tiff the blue is displaying without any issue in AP and AP2. Raw viewers other than sony have no issues displaying these files as they should appear as well. files for reference4_200889.TIF 4_200889.ARW

if you get some time, can you show an example of an edit where you maintain the blue directly out of develop persona? maybe your method is better than mine -
Problems with BLUE LEDs in RAW files

BUT it is an issue. The light was blue. I want to show the blue light in the picture, along with the natural colours.. I have a work around already just wondering if it's possible to develop a solution where there is no need for a work around, especially when the work around involves skewing all the other colours like this. -

All of those setting are off or set to "take no action" as I like my RAW files flat and it oversaturates the blues -

I uploaded files. Uploaded a few extra files. 1 of the files shows hanging xmas lights where the yellow ones render/ display without any issue but what i must assume are the same type of light except blue renders all messed up -

yea you're right. same thing -
Hi! acceleration on gpu is renderer I believe I reported this bug in version 1 and it is still here in version 2. If I make a preset, edit and image and attempt to edit another, even though the previously used preset shows as the current selected option, it's not activated. I only use detail and basic adjustments in develop persona so i havent tested if this is the case with all adjustmennts. I have been working around this since version 1 by changing the selection then reselecting the one I want The most frustrating issue is if I set a white balance with a preset, the preset records the white balance BUT i now have to reselect the preset as well as the white balance for the preset in it's entirety to take effect PRESET BUG.mp4
