  1. ok so i messed around with the "overexposed" one again as well as the underexposed one since i had yours for reference of the shade of blue, the overexposed is still the better of the two, whilst i struggle to get the beautiful glow and on the fridge (could just be the angle) of the blue, the overexposed gives the best overall image in both our edits of these. i'll include my crazy adjustments on it; all corrections in photo persona in 16bit. i had to mask blue reduction with HSL on the sink as it showed too much blue. In the edit file there are snapshots you can click through to see the before mask version or you can just turn off the HSL layer "sink correct" ok so i messed around with the "overexposed" one again since i had yours for reference of the shade of blue, tbh it is def the better of the two, whilst i struggle to get the beautiful glow and on the fridge of the blue it gives the best overall image. i'll include my crazy adjustments on it. i had to mask blue reduction with HSL on the sink as it showed too much blue. 2. @walt.farrell i've tried all the installers now, exe, msix and as well as the suggested update when opening. 😓🤷‍♂️
  3. @walt.farrell @Ron P. Here is a maybe longer than necessarry video showing how to do it 😓😁 2024-03-03 14-17-08.mp4
  4. @Bit Disappointed not gonna lie it is sometimes a burden, but i've gotten a lot faster editing sessions in AP over years and because this is the only thing i've had to have a work around for, and i have largely standardized it, it's not that big a deal. even for some pros (i'm a part time working toward fulltime), the adobe, capture one $240+ a year deal is a lot not to mention having to learn a new editor is a pain
  5. Happy for photoshop, capture one and dxo users. For those needing help figuring it out in AP though, the information I and other provided for solving in it in AP might prove useful.
  6. i too do the same for the most part. very interesting having the canon file. happy you have a way of dealing with it with your cam too!
  7. ah ok i thought you somehow were able to install the sony raw engine to App and use it. that'd be great
  8. @Ldina I would love to know how you are able to use different RAW engines as i've wanted to figure how to use sony's for a while now in AP, i only have seriff labs, im on a windows PC
  9. anyone searching this issue will likely have files of their own but here4_103700.ARW
  10. By far the best way i've found to fix this issue is by using selective colour. since the issue is magenta being read poorly by AP and photo and video editors in general, then you just need to remove excess magenta from the image. when red appears to be messed up it's actually being converted as magenta in AP so if you go to magenta on selective colour and reduce magenta ( ie add green) it should fix it, similarly, when blue appears mesed up it's actually magenta in the blue so again if you reduce magenta it should fix it. adjust these two till it looks like the colour of the light/ till the super saturation disappears. iyou can tweak either of these further by adjusting the luminance of the channels left as well as blue saturation an HSL layer. if the colour is still off adjust it however you feel like from there 2024-03-02 15-07-13.mp4 2024-03-02 16-00-15.mp4

  12. Here's a video. Also here's my pc specs, not that it matters (since 2.3.1 works just fine) windows 10 pro 22h2, 64GB ddr4 3200 ram, ryzen 3950 @4.25 Ghz, windows on an nvme drive, nvidia 4070ti 2024-03-02 02-33-02.mp4
  13. I installed through the app, as it launched it asked me to update and i did. screen shots and even video wont capture effectively that i'm clicking in between shortcuts. my family is awake and around so any chance you can hear the sounds will be drowned out by them. i've rolled back to 2.3.1 and its fine which means i will probably just stay on this version. for example, typically from develop persona, i have "d" set to develop, then o registers ok. from there i would duplicate my RAW file which is set to 'd' then 'alt+spacebar' is set to turn off layers for me. i'd then raster the layer that's on 'r', duplicate it 'd' and the frequency seperate 'f', hit enter to accept the default seperation. that is how i start every edit. in 2.4 i have to click in between all the duplicates, raster and hitting enter doesnt register the frequency seperation. furthermore, all shortcuts i use after my regular image prep i described above, i must click in the document window in order to have the shortcut work. 'alt+ c' is my curve shortcut and then 'shift+alt+s' is my screen blendmode shortcut. i use this everytime. i have to click in the document window even though i had been working in the layers panel to get my curve short to work, then i have to click again before the screen blend mode works, then i have to click again to duplicate it with 'd' so on so forth. and then once im done editing and would like to export 'alt+shift+ctrl+s" i have to click again. keep in mind this worked perfectly without any issue in 2.3.1 and is working again now that i've reinstalled 2.3.1
  14. Affinity Photo 2.4.0 Issue is ongoing in all at least Develop and Photo persona throughout use and happens with every document Acceleration is on as it always has been. When using shortcuts, up until the 2.4 update I was able to use shortcuts without needed to click my mouse; meaning I could string together an unlimited number of shortcuts without consecutively. Now before the shortcuts register, I must click in the document/ canvas window before using each shortcut meaning, I have to click in the document window, press my shortcut, click the mouse in the active document window again, then shortcut. I havent changed any settings, software or hardware since updating to 2.4.0, the only change has been the update itself and Affinity photo has never functioned like this for me previously, needless to say it is a gigantic irritant.
