I found the original one was corrupted, in a folder within folder etc, but it says it can't be put in the trash because it's running. I'm sure that's a way to over ride that. I am 82 and I've worked with computers for aeons but I help here. thanks

I thought that maybe the DMG shouldn't be on the desktop so I put that on an auxiliary disk and put it in the trash . still it says it's running

now it says it's already running, but I put the first one in the trash.

so close. Now it says I can't open it because it's not responding.

Ok, I rooted around and found the DMG and the dialog box came up to put it in the folder. it's verifying

so the dialog or whatever to move it to the application folder, did not come up, it just opened. There must be a way to up that up.

Ok - after I submitted that, I rooted around and found the DMG for 2.0 so I opened that up, and it seemed to be working up, and even my project was still there but it said it was done with an upgrade that had things that this version doesn't have. Ok, so close. SOOOO close. but then I went to the updates and then I get this What does that mean? thanks

I put part of this ...somewhere .... Someone replied can't find it so the warning is below. So I rooted around and found my DMG to put a new one version up, and so it was the 2.0 and I've upgraded since that, but this second warning came up What does that mean? Update Error? can't be updated if its running from the location it was downloaded to. I'm sooo close to getting my publication working.

I can't open Publisher, at all. the file was saved internally in it. I should have set up Time Machine, but my previous iMac, I couldn't get it to work. Fortunately I have a pdf file, so I can do it again, but it's sooooooo frustrating. This Sonoma has just giving me fits the whole time. I never put a new OS on, at the outset, let everyone find the issues, but Photo Elements 24 wouldn't work without it. Thanks

I've been this version since it came out, I was in a project, which I had shut down the previous night, and now I can't get in to it to finish it. I'm on a 2019 Mac with Sonoma, which has been just horrible, but I haven't had any problem with Affinity before this. Like 6 months or so.
