  1. Can't find anything in settings to stop a click from unlocking the viewpoint....even clicking to select a tool unlocks the viepoint and then you have to click "Viewpoint" each and every time....doesn't make sense to me .....is this a similar issue with a trackpad? Any developer with a solution listening in to this conversation?
  2. @Gear maker Yes I an see what you're saying makes sense. I wonder if the developer could overcome that problem by incorporating a key combination to give more control over locking and unlocking the viewpoint ...eg Option + Command + Click or Shift + Command + Click? Since I'm only starting out I don't know much about the different commands and key control s yet....but as a novice user, on a Mac desktop, with a Magic Mouse....I'm immediately presented with difficulty; that doesn't make a good impression and it interferes with the use of the software straight away. Pluse, I shouldn't have to go to the expense of buying a mouse or trackpad for software that doesn't work on the systems it says it does work on. Apart from that though, I'm sure the software is very good, perhaps if compared to Pixelmator, but it ain't that good if the immediate shortcomings impede its use! Might be inclined to seek a return! Thanks again for your help
  3. Thanks for the tip....I disabled as much of the mouse scrolling functionality as possible and there seemed to be a slight improvement. Having added a "Viewpoint" from the bottom left menu under zooming etc I was able to lock the viewpoint (highlighted blue) for a moment. However, at the slightest mouse click, the viewpoint is unhighleted / unlocked and the falming page jumps all over the place. Whoever designed this needs to add in some kind of locking switch that will override accidental mouse movements and clicks. My guess is this problem would ocur with any mouse since the issue is the click. I would also have though that since this is desigend and sold to be used on Mac OS, desktop or laptop, the problemt might have been spotted...perhaps not...or perhaps I'm missing sometyhing here also. Thanks for your help.
  4. A brand new, novice user here! Just download Mac OS version of Affinity Phot and waded in....and the 1st difficulty I find is keeping the image layout from panning all over the place. I can see that zoom facility and the view point option, but would like to know if there is a way to lock the panning screen to prevent it from hopping around whilst I use my mouse (Apple Magic Mouse)? Help / advice would be appreciated greatly.
